I'm not one that believes in Love at First Sight but I do know that the moment I met John was as close as it gets. We had worked at the same company for over a year and had never crossed paths. In early spring 2006, I was coerced by a friend to play on our company softball team. They put me as catcher(since I could barely catch or throw) and John was MY pitcher. I remember the first pitch...feeling like a little school girl with butterflies in my stomach as I stared at him...tall, dark and handsome! Of course I dropped it. Dammit! I was so embarrassed because I couldn't even throw it back to him from home base!!! He knew I was awful but was so kind and helpful the entire game. The next morning we ran into each other walking into the building! Where had he been the past year? I know the feeling was mutual now...but he was so smooth! He asked if he could take me to lunch...to the batting cages to practice. Of course I said yes and I counted down the minutes all morning. Needless to say there was a ton of practicing that spring and I have the "Most Improved" award to show for it!
The engagement party was amazing!!! My parents hosted it and decided to get a tent "just in case" since it was November but it ended up being the most beautiful night!! My mom and I decided to go to the flower mart in LA last
minute and we're glad we did. We didn't know that NOBODY down there accepts credit cards but it worked out great because for $30 we made about 9 arrangements with plenty left over! I can't wait to go back with my FMIL for the
rehearsal dinner...she loves flowers even more than I do :)
I would say I'm about half way right now...I hope :)

The Final Product :) I ended up with 6 flower girls (the 1 year old isn't in the pic)
I have 7 Flower Girls!!!! By next year they will range from 1-9 years old. So far I have found a bunch of cute dresses on www.cottoncandydress.com and I'm thinking about letting each girl pick out her own dress as long as it falls within our colors but I like the idea of something like this...
***Update***I will have ONLY 6 flower girls. We found out my FSIL is preggers and will be having her 2nd child a week prior to the wedding so they can't fly in from Chicago.
