My wedding definitely was not budget, but I have included some tips that I know can be useful to everyone. The truth is that if I hadn’t watched my budget I would have spent twice as much as I had intended to. With 332 guests at your reception
and 3 events that day (tea ceremony, western ceremony, and reception), it was bound not to be budget. Over half of my budget went on the reception, however, which makes sense, but I saved TONS on the little details.
I know that most people
don’t always post how much everything costs (maybe they find it cheesy?), but I always wondered what they paid for their beautiful weddings (and always subsequently emailed them), so to save you the trouble, I will go ahead and post ballpark
figures of what I paid. Also I post the costs because brides need to be realistic about their budget. Weddings are not cheap! I went over about $5,000 on my original budget, but things really do end up adding up, and QUICK, so do make a budget and make
sure you have about 10% more than what you originally plan for b/c with tax, tip, service charges, etc. the 10% overrun is inevitable.
