My name is Danielle and I am 27 years old from Thousand Oaks California. My fiancé is Eddie and he was born in Mexico but raised in the US. We are 10 years apart but age has never been an issue. We have been dating for almost 7 years and this past May he finally proposed. I knew fairly early on that I wanted to and was going to marry him. We compliment each other very well and he makes me want to be a better person. He is incredibly smart and I always learn so much from him. He has helped me raise my daughter and loves her like she was his own. He also has a daughter who is 16 so we already have a little family. Our wedding date is August 25, 2012. I am so excited and I am so glad I found all you ladies here on PW...

The Proposal...

The day he proposed I had no idea. It started like any other Saturday. We had planned our date night and were driving down the coast to eat at a famous seafood place called "Neptunes Net" in Malibu. Before we got there he pulled over so we could look at the ocean. This was normal because he use to always bring me to this spot when we first started dating. All of the sudden he started hugging and kissing me and telling me how perfect we are together. I looked away for a moment and when I turned around he was on one knee and asked me to marry him. All I remember saying was "are you serious right now" LOL. After the initial shock I said yes and was crying and kissing him all over his face. I immediately called my parents but they already knew because he asked their permission a few weeks before. It was perfect and I wished that moment could last forever...

Our theme is Romance! I have always been a super romantic girl so that's what I want to show at our wedding! I still have so many ideas going through my head that I get overwhelmed sometimes. I don't know how detailed I am going to get but I do know I want lots of roses and candles. My color is pink... I know a lot of brides usually have 2 colors but I think I'm just gonna stick with different shades of pink with touches of ivory. We are having our ceremony and reception at the Moorpark Country Club and I'm so excited. Their gazebo for ceremonies is SOOOOO beautiful. I love looking through this site for more ideas. Some of you are so creative!!!

We are getting married at The Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark Ca. I am in love with our venue. The ceremony will take place in the Gazebo surrounded by lots and lots of flowers and the reception will be in there grand ballroom over looking the golf course. The moment i set foot there I knew I couldnt get married anywhere else. It was a little over budget but we will make it work.

My first DIY project is my candy bar... I have all my jars now and did practice label. I plan to make labels for each candy using my cricut machine. Not sure what saying or type of Candy Bar sign I want to do yet. I also want to tie ribbon around each jar to make it a little more fancy.

As far as candy type ,I originally wanted to base my candies around our colors but I love candy so much and want all my favs :) so its gonna be a mix of different kinds.

I also have 4 of these penny candy jars but didnt have a picture. So I will have a total of 11 jars...
