I was in Vegas for a girls weekend and he was there for a bachelor party.  We met on the dance floor of a club called Drai's at like 2 in the morning.  We started chatting and he offered to buy me a drink.  We hung at the club all night and then he took me and my friend to breakfast at the Paris hotel.  I thought he was super attractive and a total sweetheart because he wanted to make sure my friend didnt feel awkward hanging out just the 3 of us.  We exchanged info and although I instantly felt that we had something special I didnt want to get my hopes up, because hey it's Vegas.

At the time I lived in San Diego and he was in Orange County.  He started calling me and I have to admit I was a bit aloof at first because I had so much going on.  I called him back and planned to get together while he was down in SD.  The rest is history, after that we saw eachother pretty much every weekend for the next 3 or so years.  Then we moved in together and have been together for 7 years total.  He's my Best Friend, makes me laugh every day, and inspires me to be the best me possible.

Got this at Mon Amie in Costa Mesa.  There was a trunk show going on for Liancarlo and my MOH suggested I try it on.  It was totally different than what I was looking for.  When I tried it on, my girls and I started tearing up.  No other dress made me have that reaction.

It has the Old Hollywood feel but also sort of modern and couture.   LOVE!!

The Runner up dress was a Jim Hjelm....I love that line and really thought I wanted something lacey and with a sash.  Still think it's gorgeous!

We wanted to pick a location that was a little different, had a lot of character, and was something that was memorable.  FI recommended the Union Station in downtown LA.  We used to take the train pretty often when I was down in SD and he would peek in the banquet room and say how cool it would be to have a party there.  It's very art deco and Old Hollywood.  Plus I love the meaning of the train station and how we would take the train to visit one another when we were in seperate cities.

I love, love, love purple so I had to represent with some purple heels under my dress.  I got these MaxStudio heels at Nordies for half price...score!

I am thinking I might need a back up pair since I'll be on my feet for a long time and love to dance.
