I really wanted to build on the romantic essence the venue had. I love the chandeliers and the outdoor ambience, especially at night. Our final decision:

  • Linens will be half of the tables in black, and the other half in a black & ivory toile-like print, not quite damask
  • Our centerpieces on these tables will be illuminated, cube vases with a lamp shade and submersed orchids (or a similar flower) with black river rock on the bottom and a floralyte. We will also put a battery tea light in the lamp shade to illuminate the top
  • The other half of the tables will have black chandelier-like candelabra's
  • We will use miniature bud vases and votive holders in ivory & black to put small arrangements of roses
  • We will be using golden-crystal beaded votives on the tables with the toile print and ivory with toile embellishment votives on the tables with the black linens
  • We will use regular white plates (acting as chargers lol, but will be used as plates) with black napkins folded to hold a menu printed on gold-leaf cardstock, embellished with a bloomed rose for a small pop of red
  • Head table will be draped in black, with black draping behind it. Each side will have a crystal curtain suspended to frame the draping and custom Gobo
  • Basically everything is black, ivory, and small hints of green (in the foliage) and tiny pops of red & gold, we will enhance our "red" motif by washing the walls with red uplighting
  • Elements are black river rock, moss, ostrich plumes, crystals, ivory florals such as roses  & hydrangea, golden accents (frames, votive holders, lighting) and red mood lighting
