Our Reception will be at 7:00 pm at the Garden Room at Sunset Gardens
When I was first made aware of the place, I checked out their website...and whoa Nelly....can we say out-dated?? Later, I even informed the owner that he may be losing customers from the website...it is not complimenting at all. They've done so many renovations since the pictures were taken.
Well, my first reception venue didn't fall through, and because we live in Vegas, we wanted something that was easily accessable from the strip hotels, and that wasn't associated with a hotel/casino. I looked at golf clubs and of the ones I wanted, they either could not accomodate our guest count, or were booked. So I was loosing hope and I was reading some married bio's and over and over again was an amazing review of Sunset Gardens. I reluctantly called them to make an appointment to view it and I went in one hour later (if not I would have probably changed my mind).....I got there and it was everything I have ever dreamed of, as a child envisioning my wedding....everything. It's surrounded by lush gardens, and greenery and trees with twinkling lights...it's got this Tavern on the Green type feel, and I think it's so romantic. And it's all-inclusive, open bar, catering, DJ services, coordinating, decor, etc....I mean I killed a whole gang of birds with one stone. We dropped the deposit that very day and I coudn't be happier with my decision!
I will try to get more pictures of how it looks like these days...LOL, but from their website:

This is a picture of the inside of the venue. These pics are from AshleyP01 (a Vegas Board Knottie) photographed by The Cohens Photography:
Left to right: Table set up and windows, Beautiful Chandeliers, The twinkling lights that sealed the deal

And I can't wait to get a photo like this: (Again by Cohens Photography courtesy AshleyP01 Knottie)

Ahhh the romance.....
Someone else's wedding set-up:
I'm taking the picture from the right corner of the head table
From the opposite side (my daughter being silly)
The back where the head table is will be draped with black draping that will cover the entire back wall adjusting the triangular shape of the wall so no foliage will be seen in the background(thank goodness). We will be shining a custom GOBO with our names and wedding date onto it. The event designer will skirt the head table with different linens so no white linens at all.
The dance floor, excuse the stacked chairs stored in the corner. It's actually a lot bigger in person. Our DJ will be setting up a lighting package and our Event Designer will hang a disco ball--I love disco balls!
The first pic is the area to the right of the main entrance when you first walk in. The picture on the right is to the left when you first walk in (so imagine the doors in between).I need to have the following assigned areas situated in this area:
- Cake Table
- Favor Table
- Escort Card Table
- Gift Table
- Candy Buffet Table
- Digital Photobooth (so the the big ones with the monitor on the outside)
- Table with the scrapbook that goes with the digital photobooth
So I'm totally lost. The wedding coordinator at the site suggested putting the photobooth on the outside terrace (which is attached to the room by the dance floor. I'm like, hecks no, it will be 120 degrees out that day and only the smokers will have their photo's taken lol. So I need to figure this out.

what a great location congrats! cant wait to see how it all looks in the end!
