Wooden Box Favors

Yay! I stumbled across these miniature wooden shadow boxes from Michaels. They were originally $1, and I had planned to get them at that price. When I went in to grab some, they were on sale: 2 for $1!! So I took the 20 they had in stock and approached a friendly manager to order some more. He not only ordered them but honored the weekend sale price they were on for on the day that I ordered them. Great guy (Thanks David from Michael's!!!)

We will be staining them and putting a picture of us inside the shadow compartment of the box. Either the picture will have a "Thank You" and date on them or I will think of a way to put that perhaps around the frame of the box. I was kinda thinking of buying a stamp with romantic words on it and stamping on the box so it kind of has a somewhat of a wine cork feel/design to it. And we are still thinking about what to put inside. Although thanks to PW'er Jaryce, I'm thinking crinkle paper and a painted rock right now....we'll see, but love that idea. I would love to put a chocolate in it but I'm thinking in transport, they would probably melt in the hot July weather here in Vegas, and that would end up being a disaster lol.

So here they are, the unfinished product. I will update when we get done with them. I'm just so thrilled that it's one thing off my checklist!
