Linda Jenks: Owner/Executive Producer
Linda brings over 40 years experience in promoting venues, bridal trade shows, fashion shows, women's social events.
Linda began modeling and promoting in Washington State in the 1970s. While working with Squaw Valley USA she was hired by Nordica (ski boots) to model and produce mini events for ski shows in Tahoe, Colorado and Las Vegas prior to moving to Palo Alto. In 1981 Linda was asked to produce San Francisco's 3rd Annual Bridal Fair.
1982 Linda launched a series of fashion events in some of the hottest nightclubs in Los Angeles such as: Beverly Hills (StringFellows) Century City (20/20 Playboy Club), Santa Monica (5th Av.) and downtown Los Angeles (Mayan Club).
Dick Clark Productions contacted Linda to produce the first series of "Will You Marry Me?" Which later led her to assist in providing "audience atmosphere groups" for award shows such as: The American Music Awards, Soul Train Awards and Soap Opera Digest Awards, Critics Choice Award amongst others..
Meanwhile, West Coast Bride approached Linda to be their fashion show director after seeing one of the events at 5th Av. Nightclub. Linda worked with West Coast Bride for seven years until they closed their doors.
1997 Brides and Beyond was born promoting bridal events throughout Southern California, North San Diego, The Inland Empire and Palm Springs; until 2007.
Linda saw a need to open the events to a wider targeted consumer base and created "Day of the Diva." The events bring guests ranging from 16 to 80.
Linda oversees the projects from their conception to the shows entirety. Meeting with venues, catering, and event professionals. Linda designs the layout of the event, produces the fashion show, choreography and music. Linda designs the layout of ads for regional bridal magazines, newspapers, flyers, direct mailers. Radio announcements and newspapers press releases and articles about each event.
