We will be getting married at the same church where I had my quinceanera (Sweet 15). St. Raphael Church traces its origins and location to the twentieth of California's twenty-one missions. It is located in San Rafael, CA, my hometown.
After our original venue decided to cancel their planned weddings for the year due to the inability to remodel their facility b/c of the economy, we found The Spinnaker Restaurant in Sausalito. I think it was a blessing in disguise b/c it had all the characteristics of my dream venue: view of the San Francisco skyline, with lots of open windows to show off the gorgeous SF bay. Plus, it totally fits my vision- Marin meets SF.
I can't decide between the two for my STD magnets created by the lovely Nicole from Pink Designs. So for now... I think I just might use both.
I just contracted One and Only Wedding Design to create a more glamorous, romantic settting to my venue. The venue has a fantastic view of the SF skyline and bay, but the ceiling and walls were very drab. Plus, she's doing an event at my venue a month before. So she will already have had the experience and give me input on what worked and what didn't. We are adding a crystal venetian style chandelier to ceiling.

I am considering all three chandeliers for my reception. I am not sure which one will fit my Old Hollywood Glam theme.
I am sooo fortunate to have Ashley there by my side on my big day as my DOC! She is fabulous, and I highly recommend her to any bride who either has no clue about the planning process, or has been on top of everything and just needs someone to bring her vision together on the actual day.
