I thought I would start my bio by a little introduction on this wedding...
It may look like a lot of wedding...But from where I come from it's pretty unusual to do things that way (matching BM, outside ceremony). I had to fight a bit with some people to make them accept our way of doing things...
I must thank you all of you ladies cause thanks to you I planned this magical wedding! All the guests loved it and they said that it was "magical", that you "could feel the love" , a lot of people cried during the ceremony or had tears in their eyes ...
And all of that is thanks to you! You've been a source of inspiration, a big big support and also a place to get always honest comment and help!
So THANK YOU!!!
I'm a french girl living in London for more than a year now and I love this city. We are from Paris and we still go there on week end or vacations to see friends and family.
I'm a scientist and he's working in bank but both of us have a little crazy side.
Whe are together since almost 7 years...And what else... we are in looooove!
Since July 2010 we are in a civil partnership (not only for gay people in france ;) (Picture of this day!)
one of my favorite pictures of us :

We've chosen one main color for our outfits, the ceremony and cocktail : PINK!! We both like this color (ok I love it) and we thought it would be nice :)
And also I've always had a dream : to have a big pink bow at the back of my dress...
So here is the reality!
Since everyone knew we would have a pink wedding we wanted to suprise them with 2 added colors for the reception... and we've chose : Blue and Green
And together it was really nice :
since we are still 2 big kids we decided that the theme would be candies ... We tried to keep the idea and the colors but also to do a chic candy theme...And all the guests loved it!
I did a lot of DIY cause I love it you can see them (not all) in the rest of my bio!
Enjoy your visit on my bio!!

It took my mom and BM an hour to put the bow...And I ended up doing it myself..in 5 min!
tadaaaaaaa I'm ready!!

On my way to see my Love
He loved the dress and althought he knew about the bow he thought it would be different so he was trully surprised and trully in love with my look (pfffiou)

we did 3 islands : Moorea, Bora Bora and Huahine

We choose the ring together... well it wasn't supposed to happen like that. We were just supposed to look at rings... but I felt in love with mine and so he bought it...
It's "chance of love" from Mauboussin and I love it because it's a four leaf-clover...It's my lucky charm!
He proposed in Niagara Falls summer 2011 (6 months after buying the ring)...just after fireworks (I'm a huge fan) and in front of the illuminated falls...
He was so stressed (usually he's really confient) and I think it was the detail that was really the most important to me!
I bought this dress in october in the shop in front of my appartment. I felt in love with my dress so I tried only 4 others just to be sure and I bought it!
It's a Mori Lee dress, voyage num 3659.
I was alone at the fitting but my friends have seen it now and they love it!!
I add a Pink ribbon because it's exactly like that that is my dream dress!!
I LOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!
and the shoes..... tadddaaaaaaaaaaaa
And some flats to dance!!
the shoes with the dress:
I made myself a bracelet , some earrings and a necklace. It goes perfectly with the dress!
here are our rings, it's the same model only a bit wider for Steph, we ordered them online I can't wait to see them!!!!
the model was to sparkly for FI ...so here are the actual rings we picked!
The D day is 26 May 2012!! ok still really far far away!!) > OMG soooo close!!!!
It's going to be in Brittany (France)
the venue:
Le manoir de Keringant
the bridal room, where we'll spend our wedding night

We are planning to do an outside ceremony, which is uncommun in france (we have the civil ceremony in the cityhall and the religious one usually in a church etc...). We are not religious but we wanted to doa nice ceremony based on love that why we are doing this commitment ceremony even if it's not really ok with everyone...
here is my inspirations for the outdoor ceremony:
that should happen in this garden if the weather is kind to us
under a cherry tree
the reception is also there, here is the room without cover on the chairs
with cover
So I'm a bit crafty so i'm trying to do some DIY projects for the wedding!

A friend did the drawings and I'm in love (with the drawings not the friend ;)
In france the tradition is simples invitations with only one big and a RSVP card ... so here it is (sorry it's in french but you get the idea!)
the sentence in the heart says : "I don't know where I'm going but I feeling better holding your hand"
and the rsvp!(a bit empy without the personal stuff)
There will be a scratching sticker in the circle (top right) and people will discover "gagne" meaning "won"!!
So exited!!!!
they're done and sent!!!
Here is the sign :
we'll prepare props like that:

free printables at :
http://ohhappyday.com/category/free-printables/page/2/
and we have to decide what kind of backdrop we'll use (if we use one )
here are my dude bags ;)
With a tie, socks and an emergency kit inside!!
1 year before the W day 6 months before the W day
and the film
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkyZmcA1ANo
I think I'll go for soft curls...with a big flower
I already tried curls and Fi was amazed!
For me I want a pink bouquet, here are my inspirations :
FI's is going to wear a 3 pieces suit dark grey a bit like that but plain grey, a white shirt and a pink tie (same pink as my ribbon...not an easy task!) and pink socks

One of my bridesmaid is my BF ,we don't have MOH or bridesmaids in France, the equivalent is "witness" to the civil wedding in the cityhall. She is one of the 2 witnesses and would be my MOH if I had to pick one ;)
We'll do some untraditional wedding with the bridesmaid and groomsmen look wich is highly unusual in France but suits us!
So back to my fisrt BM : Valerie
We meet 6 years ago and we are really inseparables...She mooved into NYC 2 years ago... It was terrible but we keep a really strong bound even with the distance.
Here a pic of the 3 of us, valerie FI and me in NYC last september !

the secon one is also a witnees at the civil wedding, I meet her a bit more than 5 years ago, she's the girlfriend of FI's best friend. They live in Paris
Meet Cynthia!

the third is a close friend, the wife of one of fi's best friend : Geraldine (pic of her wedding day)

Concerning their look... they decided to chose their dress and surprise me... I hope it will be a good one!!
This is what the caterer will prepare !! love it ;)
and I think of doing the drawing of us as a DIY topper for one of the stands to be done soon ;)
Just because I love you all and I don't know how I would survive the weddding planning without you (well still 3 months left).
I'm happy for the ladies that got married and I can't wait to see some weddings in the futur!
Love you!
