Kyle and I met on May 14th, 2008 in our summer session BS 111 course at Michigan State University. I had just finished up my freshman year and Kyle was about to start his senior year at MSU. I was sitting in the classroom waiting for class to start when Kyle walked in and sat right next to me. I thought he was very handsome, so I decided to spark a conversation by asking him if he knew the answer to the i-clicker question that was being asked. From that moment forward, we were both fascinated with one another. Whichever one of us arrived to class first would save the same seat for the other, and we would use the time during class to discover new and interesting things about one another.
I think I speak for the both of us when I say we didn't learn much biology in BS 111, however, we both gained something truely unique and special!
Our Adventures!

Our love story has been a great one! We have experienced so much together and have become the best of friends. One of our truly magnificent journeys together was our 6 month adventure in Australia. It was such an awesome opportunity to live and explore a new country with one another, while studying at Monash University in Melbourne, VIC, Australia.

The Proposal!!

On July 21th, 2011, Kyle surprised me with a trip to Mackinac Island. He had everything planned out and reserved an adorable room that overlooked the harbor and the lake. We got to the island in the early afternoon and decided to walk downtown to find a restaurant to get a bit to eat. We decided to eat at an Italian restaurant, which was extremely delicious!! After the dinner, Kyle suggested we try out a tandem bike and take a ride around the island to see the sunset. We had some hilarious moments on the tandem bike at first, but we soon got used to it. After stopping at a beach to wade in the water, we got back on the bike. I thought we were just going to head back to town; however, Kyle had a different plan. He suggested we stop at a secluded beach to watch the sunset a little more. After being on the beach for a bit, Kyle got down on one knee and said he wanted to be with me "Forever & Always" and took the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him! I was so happy and said "absolutely, YES!" We sat there and watched the sun go down as we reminisced. We decided to make a cairn (one of those rock formations that commemorates your presence) and with each rock we added to the formation we made a wish for our future. The rest of the night we sat out by the lake and talked. It was a truly special night!
