Inspiration Board photo 1

We changed our colors AGAIN! I hope we stick to it. I saw this inspiration board from Snippet & Ink. I love the contrast of light green, peaches, and ivory.

Our bouquets, centerpieces, boutiennieres, ceremony flowers, and decor will consist of the colors sage green, peach, and ivory. We will be using a combination of roses, hydrangeas, and orchids. Here are some inspiration pictures:

Our goal is to create a comfortable and warm atmosphere for our reception. We don't want it too dark 'nor too light. We want something in between. Amber lighting with hints of light yellow color gels will be used. We are planning to order a gobo design if we could afford it. Here are some inspiration pictures.

We are planning to have invitations, programs, table numbers, thank you cards, place cards, favor tags, and seating charts made. All will have the same color combination - dark green, light green, and ivory. Here are some inspiration pictures.

Invitations:

We're all about organization. Therefore, we'd prefer to have pocketfold style invitations. We plan to include the main invite, reception card, accomodtion/travel card, map, and an RSVP postcard (cheaper postage).

I'm still debating whether or not to have it all up or pulled back with curls.

I found my inspiration shoes. It's from Naturalizer's new line and I absolutely love it! I hope Zappos or shoebuy sells it soon b/c I don't like Naturalizer's return/exchange policy.

I received this list from Things Remembered. There are a number of items that we brides should have on hand for the special day. Most of these items can be found at your local grocery and drug stores. Try to purchase a travel size for each item. Ask your MOH or BM to assemble these items in a sturdy tote. Prepare your kit in advance and bring it wherever you go.

  • Aspirin or ibuprofen
  • Antacid tablets
  • Baby or talcum powder
  • Bobby pins (white for bridal dress or veil and metal)
  • Bottled water (at least 1)
  • Breath mints and mouthwash
  • Candy (bribe for youngsters to pose for pictures)
  • Cellophane tape (attachments for loose cards to gifts)
  • Clean bed sheet (for the bride to dress on)
  • Clean white cloth (for dabbing off stains on dress)
  • Clear band aids
  • Clear nail polish (in case of a run in stockings)
  • Corsage pins (extras for bouts and corsages)
  • Crackers (for nausea and hunger)
  • Deodorant
  • Extra stockings
  • Facial tissue or handkerchief
  • Hairspray
  • Hot glue gun & sticks (broken heel, decoration)
  • Money (drinks, trips, convenience stores)
  • Nail glue
  • Napkins
  • Nail polish (to match your shade for touch ups)
  • Pepto Bismol or Mylanta
  • Pocket knife or scissors
  • Rubber bands
  • Sanitary napkins/tampons
  • Sewing kit (Don't forget thread to match bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen's accessories)
  • Spot remover
  • Static cling spray
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Tweezers
  • White chalk (for concealing dirt smudges)
  • White-out (last resort cover up on wedding dress)
  • Writing pen/pencil (for writing checks)
