Our Wedding day was soooo beautiful - we had so much luck with the weather. It was forecasted to rain all day but nothing came.

I slept this night at my parents house and Manuel in our apartment. My sis Isabell and I were woken up at 05:30 a.m. by firecrackers and fireworks. My aunties and cousins stand in front of our house with fresh buns waiting for a coffee :) It is a tradition in our family do this when a couple get married. It was a funny morning. At 9 a.m. I had my hair appointment. I was back at 11:30 and did my make up and manicure/pedicure. I was so releaxed - the calm in personality :)

At 1:30 p.m. we began with pics in our garden and then went at 3:15 p.m. to the church. The ceremony was held by Pastor Erich Elpers and it was the best ceremony were I have been so far - it last over one and a half hours (a christian catholic ceremony) and as we walked outside our guest welcomed us with thousands of bubbles, this was such a beautiful moment.

After welcomend our guest we went over to our restaurant for our champagne reception and then had dinner at 7 p.m.  We had a 4 course table plated menue and everything was sooooo yummy; for dessert we serve our wedding cake and vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberrys.

After dinner our friend surprised us with some funny wedding games and then - finally - we had our First dance as Mr. and Mrs. We danced through Leona Lewis song "A moment like this" - our parents had teardrops in their eyes, it was so overwhelming.

At midnight we celebrate the money/veil-dance. It was so much fun to dance with every one of our guests :) And then we celebrate till next morning at 7:30 a.m. with our guest with lots of drinks and very good music.

See our PRO-PICS and enjoy it <3

Our wedding ceremony verse was:

"Love is like a puzzle. It lasts until you've found the right part, but when you have found it you will never give it away."

We build this frame on our own (ok, my brother build it for us *haha*) but I painted it. Actually I wanted to paint the puzzle pieces in brown and burgundy like our color scheme but my Mum told me to do something looking better. As we asked our guest for colorful evening dresses she thought it would be nice to also paint the puzzles colorful - we thought that would be a great idea to have such colorful guest pics. We both are soooo happy how it came out.

Hi Ladies,

Since last Friday 06. May I'm officially married to the love of my life and my soulmate Manuel. Now I'm Mrs. Klose.

On Friday we had our cevil ceremony in Emsdetten, our hometown. In Germany you first have to marry in a cevil ceremony and then you can choose if you would like to marry also in a church wedding. We will have ours on the 28. May with a big reception.

We had a lovely and beautiful wedding day. The sun shines the whole day and it was so warm. After the ceremony we have had white doves flying in the sky. This was an amazing moment! After this we went to my parent's home and eat lots of yummy cake and in the evening we had a great dinner of a local catering service. Everything went so awesome and I would like to do it again (3 weeks and I can do it :o)

I love my dress - it was so light and airy and my georgeus Nina Electra Apple green shoes. Perfect matches my bridal bouquet with green orchids (hard to get them in Germany - my florist ordered them from south Germany), white roses, hydrangeas and daisies. I've wrapped it with a green organza belt and put my three bridal charms on it. One with a wedding picture of my parents (married now for 31 years),one with my grandpa who died 1996 and a picture of my other grandparents (grandpa died 1976 - I've unfortunately never met him, but he was said to be very funny and my grandma died last December. I miss her so so much - She was like a second Mom to me and my siblings andshe lived with my family in the same house since my parents married)

I love my hubby till the end and we both will now enjoy our new time as Mrs. and Mr.

Here are pics of our wedding day. I'm soooo in love <3

As Manuel and I have a really large family and a lot of friends we decided to have additionally to our wedding a wedding eve party so we could also have a nice party with the family members/ friends we couldn't invite to our wedding. The party was held on Saturday the 21.05.2012 and my parents home and over 210 guest celebrated this special part in our life with us. The wedding Eve Party has a long old tradition in Germany. Guests have to bring a lot of old porcelain to the party and then have to throw it on the floor and it must broken in many small pieces. The more pieces on the floor, the longer the marriage will keep. It will also should scare away evil spirits, so the couple will have a happy marriage. But it should only be thrown porcelain and no glass. But be sure to clean this shit up wasn't really funny :)

As I was very very tired of this damn glu gun we decided to order the invites from Vistaprint as we know they have great products. Unfortunately they haven't got cards which matched our color scheme but we both fell in love with this nice postcard (We also used this Design for our Thank you cards).
The back of the invite has a lovely german verse which I found while searching the internet. It matched the theme perfectly :)

Two days after our wedding we drove to our Honeymoon to the Baltic sea. We stayed 6 days in Timmendorf; a small town directly by the sea. We've been their three times before because we love to relax there and so itwas perfect for our honeymoon :) We stayed in a beautiful flat which was a present from DH's Dad. Here are some pics <3

We ordered them from Vistaprint because of their really got recommendations and also we orderd their several times before. I love the quality of their products and how they came out. We orderd 250 cards with matching envelopes and address stickers. As I don't had the time and pleasure to do this project on my own we decided  to order them instead on DIY them. It's the same card design  as our wedding eve party card (unfortunately not matching our color scheme - but the design ist too cute). Love this cute little wedding couple on the card :) It's a folded card and we want to put a pic from us inside with our Thank you parasol.

I made our wedding book with mixbook.com and it came out soooo amazing. I choosed the size 14 x 11 coffee table landscape Photo Book and the size is really great for a wedding photo book. Although I live in Germany it was not a problem to deliver it to me. It was send by priority mail and I received it within one week. So great

Our photographer unfortunately doesn't offered to do a photo album of our wedding pics, so we decided to make this ourselfs, since it is very easy with programs like mixbook.com or shutterfly and plus they have great photo albums templates for every occasion. So far I've only made one album of our portraits / family photos, because the rest of the photos would otherwise have blown up the photo album. I'm currently still in the working progress to make the photo album with the photos of the ceremony and reception, as well as our guests photos.
I got the album for a great price and mixbook also offers almost every week to brilliant deal.

Hope you love it :)

How we met!

In August 2002 I moved from grammar school to a business college, because after my school days (2004) I'd like to make an education. So then I moved to the private commercial college Middendorf in Rheine. The classes were ordered by subjects. Once for the languages French and Spanish and once for IT-specialist. I decided to Spanish (and Manuel too - luck for me). After we were assigned to the classes we were in our classrooms and then I saw Manuel for the first time. He and his cute red hair - totally different in case of the "normal" men. At that time I had a relationship with another boy (the relationship was a total of 5 months), but somehow there was something I could not go Manuel out of my head.

In the next few months we became friends more and more for each other and the interest was aroused. In February 2003 we were invited by a classmate for his birthday. Just 2 days before I did end the relationship with my ex-friend because I knew I want Manuel and I had to take the opportunity at the party. The party was in a club room of the tennis club. The party was not really a hit, so Manuel, myself and four other friends decided to do a little crazy. We sneaked secretly into the great tennis hall - it was totally dark. We have done crazy things and had a lot of fun. At some point, we all laid down on the floor and then all this happened, where I had been waiting all the time on it. Manuel groped in the dark my hand and pulled me towards him. We whispered as the others should not hear us. Then we kissed and it was happend to me. It was so beautiful. But until we were really a happy couple, it has still lasted to 03 April 2003. On this day I have visited Manuel for the first time at his home - it was a really good day with a great end.

A second chance!

Our relationship started out as quite difficult, although we were very much in love. The fact that we were in a class, we saw us the entire day. As we began both our training in 2004 everything came better and we always met after work to chill together. In August 2007, after over 4 years of relationship, it had become so complicated again. He began to miss our dates and only want to chill with his friends. When I had saw him smoking with his friends a joint, it was over - I could not and did not want to! I ended our relationship at the same evening.

Then came the weeks in which he apologized a thousand times and said that he would improve. But I don't want to believe him.

In November 2007 I met another man. I can’t tell you why we became a couple - maybe I wanted to annoy Manuel simply. Within the next few months, Manuel hasn't an easy time - his parents filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage. Although I and Manuel are no longer a couple, I know everything. This situation has changed Manuel completely. He noted that what he has done so far can't be everything in his life. He wanted to do everything better than his parents and wanted to change himself. He changed his circle of friends and we met up again more often.

I wasn’t really happy in my new relationship, because I compared my friend in any situation with Manuel. I realized more and more how much I missed Manuel and what he meant to me. From my boyfriend I separated in April 2008 because it wasn't really easy to be with someone that I don’t love.

In May 2008, Manuel and I met at the very first time again after 8 months. I was totally surprised - he had completely changed. He now went regularly to the gym and looked very very good. And what can I say - it had caught me fully at the first moment . Just then I had to admit to myself that I had been the stupidest person in the world, because I had separated myself from this great guy. We talked all night and it was like just before - Manuel was much more grown up and matured. We wanted to try again with each other and we kissed for the first time after so long. It was the best kiss I have ever received. The sweetest was when Manuel told me that he wanted me back all the time  and did not want any other woman but me.

After a totally of 8 years (we had our 8th year anniversary on 03. April 2011) Manuel and I made a lot of vacations to different countries of the world. Every holiday was perfect, but the last one was the best one!

Last year Manuel and I flew for 2 weeks in Turkey. We were in a 5-star resort in Konakli/Alanya. It was a wonderful holiday, especially because we came back as an engaged couple from the holidays <3    At the beginning of the 2nd vacation week Manuel get an ear infection. He could not sleep or swim with me in the sea because he had in such pain. On 27.07. I was up early because we wanted to spend the whole day at the pool, so Manuel had time to could recover. Manuel wanted to stay a bit more in his room and follow because he wanted to went to a doc later.
He ask me of the room key - I gave him the keys because he have to change clothes after he came from the doctor. After I had breakfast, I went to the pool for the day to enjoy in peace and wait for Manuel. After about 2 hours of Manuel finally came back and we could enjoy the rest of the day at the pool. Around 17:30 clock, I wanted to go back to our bedroom, as I have lie all day at 35 ° C in the shade at the pool - I felt like a grilled chicken :o)  We took our towels and went towards the hotel room. In the hotel lobby Manuel stopped me suddenly and blindfolded me with a scarf. He said: "You don't have to open your eyes before I say it." I couldn't see anything anyway because of the scarf - very funny. I heard how he opened the door and I went after. At that moment, it has made me click and I could think about was what now. My heart beat up to the neck. Manuel took off the scarf and I opened my eyes. I saw a sea of roses, flowers and balloons. On the bed were two swans, which were made of folded towels. It was super sweet. And then he went on his knees and asked the question which I’ve been waiting so long for. “Kathrin, with this ring I would like to ask you, if you will marry me”. I was totally flabbergasted and of course I said yes. We kissed and hugged each other and I was just super happy. Just as this moment I had always imagined the proposal - just the two of us, all alone. It was such a nice intimate moment only for both of us! In the evening we went to dinner at a very fancy restaurant. And also there Manuel had organized everything. The table was strewn with rose petals and we drank champagne. Till now it was the best day of my life - and the best thing will follow soon - our dream wedding on 28th May 2011.

As we were in Turkey on vacation when Manuel proposed to me we still wanted to make pics by a local photographer, so we decided to turn it into our e-pic session. So we didn't need to go once again to a photographer in Germany who will be also a lot more expensive than the photographer in Turkey. And also the scene in Turkey was a lot better and more beautiful as in Germany - we had elected a blooming garden, the pool, the beach and the jetty to the sea as our photo backdrop.
It was a wonderful photo shoot and we had a lot of fun with the photographer. Then we even got a brilliant deal with the photog. We got all digital pictures he had taken for € 130,00 burned on a CD - and there were over 340 photos. That was a really great deal - still can't believe it!

Here are some of our favorites :)

Finally we have chosen our color scheme. These three colors are the dominant colors in the room, where we will have our wedding party. Chocolate brown leather chairs, sandstone walls and burgundy-colored walls. I love this ballroom. So our colour will be ivory, brown and burgundy. We have adjusted our complete stationery on this color scheme - from the invites and guest books up to the menu cards and Favors! Love this scheme. It's so natural on the one hand with brown and ivory and on the other it is elegant with the burgundy colour which we use only as an accent colour.

This is the Catholic church where the religious ceremony on 28 May 2011 refers. The ceremony lasts about an hour and is held by the best Pastor in the world. Pastor Erich Elpers has me baptized when I was a little baby.

And this is the venue were we will have our reception. It is the restaurant "Zum Splenterkotten" were we will have the biggest party ever - yeahh :o) This is an very old inn in a beautiful half-timbered house-style.
It is in my hometown Elte, a really small village. I also work here as a waitress for now over ten years so I know the service and the food - and all I can say is that FI and I love it <3
They have renovated the reception hall in 2007 and now it is so beautiful and the colors in the ball room match my wedding colors so perfectly - also they have a big conservatory at the ball room from which you have a perfect view to the church were we will get married!

Here are some pics from other weddings and celebrations which were held at our venue.

It's a Pronovias Malaga of the 2010 Collection. Two month after our engagement (July 2010) I bought it in a bridal shop after I have seen it on the internet. OMG I really love this dress. It's all over with spanish lace and have a very long train.

And this is the veil I will wear with my gown - it is custom made by Cany Merle of Crowing Glory. Working with her was so delighting. The Veil is gorgeous of the quality and the look. On the right one my Hair feather flowers. Don`t know if I will were the flower - I always love the look of fresh orchids on my hair. We will see...

Oh Girls, I had my first fitting on 3/3/2011 at the Anabella store in Münster. I've been waiting so long and then know that ...
On the upper body, the dress has the perfect fit however the skirt the tailors sewed too tight. It was super annoying. After buying the dress I've lost 7 lbs and even then it was still too narrow. Now she has to change my skirt again and I have to wait until 24/03/2011 - then I have my second fitting. I hope the dress will fit perfectly. Although the 1. fitting wasn't perfect, I love my dress so so much - it's a dream gown, my dream gown!!! At the 2. fitting next week, we will then see, how we will bustle the dress. I think that it will be a French Bustle. I'm looking so forward to next week  :o)
Here are some pictures of my first fitting, love how my veil matches my gown so perfectly!!!

Hi Ladies,

Oh my godness, today I got my dress and I'm absolutly in love with it. This morning I haven't look forward to my appointment this afternoon at the bridal shop. But the dress now fits so perfectly. Just some pictures of my last fitting - it was so much fun, because the bustle of the dress is so crazy complicated. I pity my sister :o)  But she have done it very great. She had note herself an instruction for the bustle - have a look. And what do you think about this great train. I love it so so much <3

First I have to say - I REALLY LOVE SHOES. I have more then 60 pairs and every month I buy more of these great accessories. I will be a two-shoes bride on our Big Day. I couldn't decide for only one couple of my shoes.

The first pair is for the reception / party because they are so pretty comfortable: Sophie Sposa Belle "Capri". Bought them from Great Britain and save 40 $ instead if I had bought them in Germany (140 $) *Yeahh*. Here are my shoes in action - on the right with my garther (simply lace one)

                   Yes Baby
I got the shoes photo 6

The second pair I will only wear for pictures and the ceremony - I love these adorable red shoes:
Carlos by Carlos Santana Women's Prestige Open-Toe Pump. Bought them from amazon.com. Finally they came a little bit expensive because of the shipping cost to Germany (45 $) and the customs duty (40 $). But no matter - these shoes rocks <3

In Germany it is normal that you have no bridesmaids and groomsmen. Generally one best man and a maid of honor. Manuel and I will manage it like tis way. My maid of honor is my twin sister Isabell - she is simply the best. For her, I would really do anything, I love her endlessly. I am really so happy that she will be my maid of honor - I'm looking forward to share this special moment with her.

Our best man will be Marcel - the best friend from FI since school. He is a handsome nice guy and I he's like a brother for FI and me. THis is the only freaky pic I could found - it's from Manuel's stag night party.

Isabell will choose her own dress. I liked it when she will bears a little sunny dress (I love yellow and Isa too). We have joined the internet looking for some dresses and then we found a wonderful dress. The manufacturer is Morrywoods - a company that copied the clothes of the hollywood stars and their dresses are really very very good. I have there already ordered a dress that is really great processed and fits perfectly . She will wear a yellow chiffon dress. The photo is from their website, but the picture doesn't do it justice - it's much prettier in person. It is a dream dress. I am a bit jealous  :o)
She will wear the shoes Jessica Simpson Women's Platform Sandal Massi. I ordered these at amazon.com and Isabell loves the shoes.

UPDATE 05/13/2011:

Today Isabell's dress came in and it is so awesome. The colour is so bright and sunny. I really love it. We changed our mind regarding her flower bouquet. Now she will get a bouquet only of yellow cloves and it will be tied like a ball. Great choice!

Marcel will wear a simple black suit with a small black tie and he and our three little flower and ring bearer boys will have a small yellow boutonniere to match our MOH flower bouquet. This is my inspirations for the boutonnieres

I have found these cute playmobil - figures on amazon.de while I was looking for some wedding accessories. I could not help - I have bought them. They are so adorable.

The pianist can play two different wedding - melodies. OMG this is really really cute. Don't know what I will do with this - perhaps on the front of the cake stand or at our civil ceremony. What do you think???

We will have a 4 tiers white and brown chocolate cake. Every tier will have the "tree dots" decor on the sides like in the picture on the right.

UPDATE   PW-GIRLS     02/05/2011

Oh yeah, today we have ordered our wedding cake - I am so excited to see how the cake will look like after. We have ordered a 4-tier cake. Each floor in a different flavor:

1. tier

Sacher chocolate cake with chocolate icing

2. tier

Black Forrest Cherry Cake

3. tier

"Baumkuchen" with chocolate icing (it's a German specialty cake), my FI loves this cake

4. tier

Raspberry mascarpone cake with white fondant coating

We would like to have fresh flowers on every cake tier - somethink like dark red cloves or roses. I created a little boredom and have you an example of our wedding cake in "Microsoft Paint ". We want a cake stand, which runs like a staircase. My brother is a carpenter - he wants us to build this cake stand, as we imagine. He's is the best brother in the world! What do you think about my cake inspiration??? I love it because the cake contains all of our wedding colors

UPDATE 02/25/2011:

Hi Girls - I love my brother till the end. He`s so gorgeous. In the past I've told you that he will build the cake stand for our special cake. Today he came in and presented the masterpiece :o)  Although the cake stand has now become something bigger than I thought, it doesn't matter. It's just been beautiful. The bottom plate is made of wood, the tier-holders of stainless steel pipe and the cake plates made of white Plexiglas. Great work of him! In case that every cake will be 10 cm high he will only change the height between the seperate tiers. And the stand have to be painted in an ivory colour - looking so forward how it will become when it is finished. I tested the cake stand with our cake topper - you can see them on the 3rd and 4th tier how it will looks. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Yeahh, my brother got our cake stand ready and I must say that the cake stand is made perfect. The cake stand is painted cream and the plates are made of white Plexiglas. I love it! I think our wedding cake will look great with this cake stand.

I have found this beautiful cake topper on amazon.de and I love it. The Groom will stand on the highest cake tier and the bride will stand a tier lower (3 tier from below). The pair is made of real porcelain and very nice. Also I got it for a great deal - I definitely recommend searching on the internet if you have a thing you love :)

I love to be a DIY Bride. From the beginning I loved the idea, that I would like to do the Invitations on my own because I wanted that all of our paper-works (invitations, guestbook, ceremony-programm, etc.) have the same look like our colour-scheme.
I think that they came out very nice - something different than the cards which can everyone buy here in Germany. Unfortunately in Germany you didn't get so beautiful invitation cards like in America. I must say that I fell in love with the pocketfold invitations - Till now I have seen so many beautiful Bio's and inspirations here on PW.

These are our Invitations - hope you like them as much as I love them :o)

Front side                                                                  inside we printed everything on a clear paper to

Here are some of my other DIY projects I have done till now, but I still have to do some thinks that haven`t been done yet...

I have made the guestbooks all by myself. We have two books - one for our Family and one for our friends and colleagues. I still have to do anothother book for the Pro-pics of our wedding. So we have three books which have the same look. Oh man, I want to see the glue stick never again - it was hard work and very time-consuming.

And this is the result with our guest pictures and the well wishes :)

Our "For your tears of joy" pockets - I will take them on the last page of every ceremony-programm

And for every table of our wedding reception - two Menuecards and a sample of our place cards. We want to attach the name tags on the water glasses, which are stocked on the tables. We have a fixed seating plan.
In total we have 16 tables - Manuel and I will sitting with our parents, grandparents, maid of honor and best man at a table (14 people). At the other tables each sit 8 people. For the tables I have made table-numbers and bought funny card-holders.

DIY projects photo 7

And please favor me :) These are our little favors. Cute little boxes with Smarties in it because DH and I are really sweets addicted!!!

Also we have two of these cameras on every guest table to make funny pics which the Photographer will might be missing - can't wait to see the results :)

DH and I would love to have bubbles for the "aisle-walk" after the ceremony. So I bought wedding-bubbles on ebay.de (I think now I have 40 - 50 pieces). I have decorated every bottle with a tag - on the front side with 5 different pictures of Manuel and me and the back site says "Love is in the Air".

DIY projects photo 11

Further things - the Card-Box and Flowerbaskets. The card-box have only costs 8 $ great choose (have it from NANU-NANA). And the flower baskets I have bought from a wedding-web-shop for only 4 $ each item. They are made from brown sisal and I have decorate them with feathers and a small heart.

DIY projects photo 12    DIY projects photo 13

And finally our ceremony programs which I spend most of my time on - this was really a "horror" project. We had a special size for our program and I can't find an office program where I could do this really good with. So I worked it out with Microsoft Word and glad it worked after a bunch of wrong printed paper *lol* Here they are :)

I also made some cute little match packs for our midnight firework were we will also have glitter sticks for our guests

For the bathrooms in our Venue I made two bathroom basket - one for the Men and one for the Women. All guests loved them because they could fresh up theirtselfs at our wedding :)

Manuel and I decided to have a wedding candle for our special day which we can light on every year on our anniversary. As I'm not really good in DIY with candles and wax (I tried it two times for our wedding candle but the results were horrible *lol*) so I searched the web for some good vendors who could do me a nice candle - matching our theme - for a good price. I found one in Germany for luck. I sent here the details like color, wording and pic and within two weeks she made us the most beautiful wedding candle which I had never could created and it is so perfect for us. We love it so much as the graphic is the same as on our RSVP's and on our guestbooks. Here are some pics.

These are our wedding bands. We want simply bands, because FI don't like to wear "glamour rings" - so his is without *bling bling* and complete white gold. Mine is simply too but with three small diamands on the front; white gold too and both were satin gold. First look - first love at the jeweler :o)

For the catholic ceremony we want to have all over white roses and other white and green flowers - therefore I would like to have a white roses bouquet with grass like the left picture but without any kind of perls. I don't like them in a white rose bouquet.. I love white roses; I think every women loves roses :o)
Here are some of my inspirations for me and FI's boutonnier:

Posted on 02/11/2011 at 05:22 pm | 1 comment

In Germany it is normal that you first have a civil ceremony and then - if the couple wants - even a church wedding with a large celebration held. We have our civil ceremony on Friday, 06. May 2011 Emsdetten in our hometown. It is a small courtyard with timber-framed houses where the registry office is. In May, there it is especially nice because the large trees were so green and in the garden the flowers will blooming everywhere. This registry office is really the best in the vicinity.

These are some pictures of the registry office:

The wedding venue and Catholic Church photo 1

For the cevil ceremony I will wear a white dress too. I have bought this lovely chiffon-dress from otto.de. The dress is wonderfully airy and I think it's perfect for a civil wedding because it's nice and simple I can move so well in it.

And for my cevil ceremony I will wear the Nina Electra`s in apple green. And I still can't believe it that I have them now! I searched for over two month on the american internet stores to get these shoes, but no shop were able to ship to Germany. But than I found a seller on ebay.com which shippes to Germany by airmail. Although the shoes were $ 40 more expensive than in all other stores ($ 130 + $ 45 shipping cost - normaly the shoes cost $ 90 ) but I finally got my dream shoes which I wanted to have. Here are my beauties in action.

I will wear my hair with big curls and totally down - FI loves my hair when it has curls. Normally I have very straight hair therefore I love to have a different hairstyle on our big day. Furthermore I have a facinator for my hair - only of feathers andpearls.
Here are some inspirations from me :)

I love these facinators

For our cevil ceremony I would love to have a bouquet with green orchids and white roses like the picture on the left. This is exactly what I'm looking for - as I will wear my green Nina Electra's :o)

Flowers, Reception, Pink, White, Green, Ceremony, Red, Orange, Brown, Blue, Purple, Bridesmaids, Black, Yellow, Gold,
Centerpieces, Silver, Bouquets, Florals, Exquisite blooms

Today I was at our florists. I ordered my bridal bouquet for our cevil ceremony and I ordered a sample of a boutonnière for FI to wear at the cevil ceremony. I get it today. Love it and FI too. On our day it will looks as same as this now. It is made of the same flowers like these of my bridal boquet. We decided not to use one big white rose - we only use the rose petals and these were rolled and wrapped with grass and silver wire. The idea is great.

Manuel and I will unfortunately have no flower girls - we get "flower boys". Since no one in my family has girls aged between 1 and 10 years, we had to decide for the male version. Meanwhile, I am overjoyed that we haven't found some girls because my four little guys are really super sweet and I'm looking mad at how they are going to look in their outfits.

Manuel and I decided that we don't want to put the four little guys in a kids suit - even if it will looks sweet, I think that they are still kids, and they should also feel well in their clothes. We had looking for something practical, but it have to be look still elegant and fits with the boys. So great, we have even found something that we find both beautiful and the kids too. We have everything ordered from www.vertbaudet.de - a major online retailer for kids clothes and then even to a great price. All four guys get a long-sleeved white shirt and dark blue jeans (we wanted something the kids can wear in everyday life, as all four are still growing. Over the shirt they pull on a dark brown vest, as in the picture, but without the loop - we will replace the loop and put a boutonniere on the vest. The three big guys wear the brown sneakers and our little Jacob wears the mini-Chucks with checked pattern. I will get the clothes this week and am already really excited how it will look like at the guys!

The oldest is my godson Marcel (son of my cousin). He is 8 years old and the dearest boy, there is everywhere. He will bear our wedding candle on our special day, because I think he is a bit too old for sprinkle of flowers and the other little guys were too young for holding the candle!

Jonas is 5 years old and the son of my brother Peter (the one that has already built my cake stand). He is a little whirlwind and never comes to rest - I'm really curious to see how it will be with him on our wedding if he should go ahead and sprinkle the flowers. Certainly very funny.

Linus is the godson of Manuel (and his nephew too). He is 2 ½ years old and the complete opposite of Jonas. He is always totally calm and super sweet - sometimes even a little to much of calm. But I think, that although he is very young, that he will do his "job" - to sprinkle the flowers - wonderful.

And then comes our little prince - with him we have decided only a week ago to take it as our ring bearer. Jakob is the youngest son of my brother Peter and will be 1 year old in June. Maybe he can already run up to our wedding - but I do not think. My maid of honour Isabell will bear Jacob in her arms when we go into the church. That will certainly look super sweet :o)

I saw this survey on fellow PW bride, Aroma's bio and thought it was adorable and fun to do.
So I'm including it in my bio as well.

How old are you both?            I am 25 and FI is 24, but on wedding date he will be 25 too.

Do you have any pets?            No, not at the moment, but we think in one year when we get our own home we will have a cute dog (a Labrador or a German Longhair – it is a Hunting dog race

Was the proposal a complete surprise?          Yes, a little bit – we were on holiday last year and I have suspected on this :o)

Will the wedding guests be "balanced?"         Yes it is all balanced – we will have 137 guests.

What are some traditions you're keeping at your wedding?               Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance, bouquet toss, Cake cutting, something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe.

Are you buying his wedding band for him?                No, we bought our wedding bands together at a very good jeweler in Ibbenbüren.

What is one thing about your FI that drives you nuts?           Mhhh, let me think about… After the shower he always walks with still wet feet on the carpet in the bedroom - I get upset every time. Sometimes he even makes it extra to annoying me - mean, right? And he always "forgot" his boxers on the bathroom floor. Typical man I think :o)

What are you most looking forward to about being married?             Finally making it official, we've been together for a very long time (eight years) and he is the love of my life. I adore him and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. He is so lovely!

Inside or outside?       Inside for the ceremony and the reception.

List anything you dislike.        unfriendly people, rain, horror movies, the color black, and bad food

How many people will be there?         137 + - 5 people – till now we haven’t get back all RSVP.

Time of day?               Ceremony begins at 15:30 pm and the reception directly after the ceremony. I think at 17:15 pm and then we make party till the next morning.

Wedding Theme?           romantic, elegant, exceptionally

How many bridesmaids?         In Germany it is no tradition to have bridesmaids. The bridal couple only have a Maid of Honor and a best man. My MOH is my twin-sister Isabell

What kind of cake / what will it look like?       We will get a 4 tier cake on a stairs-stand (my brother had built it). Four different favors -> chocolate cake, Baumkuchen, raspberry mascarpone and Black forest gateau. The chocolate cake and Baumkuchen will have chocolate icing and the both others will have fondant icing. Every cake will decorate with a real red rose bouquet and with dots on the site.

What kind of dress will you have / color/material?                 My dress is a Pronovias gown, style “Malaga”. I love it so much, it is so romantic and totally me. All over with Spanish lace and fortunately no BLING on it - not even a pearl. Best choice!!!
My veil is custom made by Candi Merle of Crowning Glory Designs. It is a hip length veil with Spanish lace all over the edge. It matches my dress perfectly.

What kind of flowers in your bouquet?           My bouquet will only made of red roses, nothing else

Kind of engagement ring?

How will you wear your hair?              On cevil ceremony totally down and on the catholic ceremony I will wear it up.

Who will be important to be there?                 Everyone that we invited, but of course myself and the groom and my twin sister Isabell – she’s everything to me!!

How long will you be engaged before you get married?         Almost 10 month.

Live together before or wait till married?        We've lived together since April 2010.

Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple?                I've been planning my dream wedding most time of my life :o) I have a part time job as a waiter and there I got many Inspirations for our BIG DAY!

Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?  We will write our own.

Posted on 03/14/2011 at 10:08 am | 0 comments

Manuel and I decided to have our own vows for the ceremony. These are the two we have choosen. First one is my vow and the second one is Manuels vow. We will print it on special vow cards which says on the front "Yes". But till now I haven't done it - too much stress at the moment...

You're my best friend forever!

I promise you my eternal love and fidelity; to honour you, support you and to put always again a smile on your faith within our common path through life.

If our way will be once difficult and complicated, I promise you to stand by you and to uplift and encourage you again and again, so that through our union we can accomplish more than we could alone.

I promise to work on our common love every second of our love and that you will forever be the No. 1 in my life! With every beat of my heart I love you so much. This is my solemn vow.

Manuel, with this ring I will give you my promise to never leave you alone again. May my heart be your guardian, and my arms your home in good and bad days.

 I love you

For my Angel!

From this day forward I promise you these things:

I will laugh with you in times of joy and comfort you in times of sorrow.

I will share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your goals.

I will fill your life with sunshine and my endless love to you and I will listen to you with compassion and understanding and speak to you with encouragement.

I will help you when you need it, and step aside when you don't.

You're my little angel - I will be forever faithful and will always love and respect you as you are!

Kathrin, with this ring I will give you my promise to never leave you alone again. May my heart be your guardian, and my arms your home in good and bad days.

I love you

OMG - Girls, I'm so addicted to shoes, above all, I love especially high heels.

These are my shoe purchases of the last 2 1/2 month. Totally 13 pairs of shoes and I have to say that most of them from USA (7 pairs). There you can buy so great and beautiful shoes. Something like this is so hard to get in Germany. The shoes here in Germany are most very stuffily. In the USA, you really get also very unusual footwear. I love shoes that not everyone has. And one of the few sites that deliver to Germany is Amazon.com.
They have in the past few weeks really well deserved on me :o)

Here are my beauties <3
