Sweet Beginnings...

My FI and I met when we were both in high school.  We were both involved a dancing choir known as Music Express.  It was the typical freshman (me) / senior (him) crush.  I never thought that I would be anyone he would be interested in...well I turned out to be wrong.

At the time we met I was involved in another relationship.  After knowning each other awhile Kevin (my FI) asked me if I would go to prom with him.  I told him he had to ask my boyfriend.  He said it was fine.  Well not long after Kevin asked me to prom my current boyfriend and I broke up.  The next day Kevin asked me to be his girlfriend... a little rushed... I guess you could say that but I knew he was an amazing guy and I wanted to be with him.

Our relationship was wonderful.  He knows how to make me laugh and smile the way that no one else can.  It was time for him to go off to college and that was when I thought our relationship was pretty much over.  He reassured me that he loved me and that he wanted to be with me.  Being in other relationships before what made what he said anymore real than the others.  Well for my 16th birthday he came over to my house and as he was leaving he said he loved me and had something for me.  He slipped a promise ring (that we both have been looking at for awhile) on my finger.  He said it was a way to show me that he promised to always come back to me.

He kept his promise.
