Our colors are black, a mix of reds, and a touch of burgundy. She will be adding a LITTLE pink in the floral arrangements to help make things pop! We will also be incorporating black calla lilies! Wierd I know :)

After MUCH looking around, it was inevitable I was going to pick a dress from the Dessy Collection. I LOVE their dresses!!! We stumbled upon this one and it just worked. We had originally picked out a long black dress, but then thought it was too formal for a summer/ chapel wedding. I have my two sisters (Maid & Matron on Honor) and two best friends (Bridesmaids) and each of them look adorable in this dress! Im so glad this worked for everyone!
I decided to take a different route for the flower girl dress. I bought a Sweet Beginnings Duchess Satin flower girl dress in Cranberry red, tied by a black satin sash with a large bow on the back. I thought it would be a nice touch with the very dark/ romantic wedding. We were so nervous for it to come, thinking it wouldn't look right- but when we recieved the dress we ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! My niece (MOH/sisters daughter) is our FG, and this is her 3rd time- but never in a beautiful red dress. She loves it too!
As for the RB, we just had them match the GM's attire! My youngest RB held a pillow with a Shannon Crystal Ring we got as a gift from our engagment party, and my other RB had a very special surprise for my DH!
We went for all black tuxes- mainly because I think its sexy, and especially more our style.
My DH wore all black with an Ivory tie to match my dress
The GM & RB wore all black, with a red tie
FOG woer traditional black and white tux
FOB wore black jacket/pants, with a white shirt, vest and tie
We finally found it! Unfortunetly this picture does not do justice at all- it looked beautiful on my mom and very flattering on her!!! We got it in black of course! No yucky blue :)
I got this dress at Forever 21 of all places (which normally I cannot fit) for only $22 bucks! I already had shoes that went perfect- so what a steal this was! My BM made my bouquet from teh shower which came out so cute!
Jason and I with "Team Bride" :)
Rehearsal Dinner was the Wednesday before the wedding. After some practice down the Chapel aisle, we had dinner at Asaka Japanese Restaurant which is close by. Its on the cliff in Palos Verdes and overlooks the water- its even affordable too! A perfect opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful location! http://www.asakausa.com/
I got Jason' grooms cake from Rossmoor Pastries as well and it was delicious! Its didn't come out exactly as planned but still a fun surprise for him and our bridal party- a perfect treat after dinner! On a side note- I know they can be expensive so I opted to have a smaller cake made and kept it one tier and a one hour labor so it was cheaper then the other estimates!
It is an off-road tire and I just stuck racing flags on top !
Jason's an off-road enthusiast and photographer so I thought it was a must :)
We even got some practice cutting a cake together :)
Here are some inspiration pictures for the wedding...
*** Thanks to all the PW girls for helping me accomplish making inspiration boards and posting pictures- you all are awesome!!!***
These are the two cakes that stick out to me the most to me when I look through pictures. Somehow I wanted to incorporate black ribbon with a scroll design. So my bakery will integrate the two! I want it simple and bold.
Tier 1 & 3 will just be black ribbon with NO piping
Tier 2 & 4 will have the scroll design above in black
Flavors
- White cake with fresh strawberry
- White & chocolate cake with Chocolate Bavarian cream in middle
- White & Chocolate cake with Dulce Carmel in the middle
The result..........
My FI surprised me on our anniversary with a block of cheese wrapped in red! I was like WTF is this? BTW- I HATE cheese :) Anyway, long story short, he got me the photobooth for our wedding!!! (something I have always wanted!)
My FI is a photographer, we always take a billion pictures, I'm a scrapbooker, and we wanted a unique guest book- so everything works out perfect to match our style! I just ordered my blank photobook from www.mypublisher.com for the actual guestbook/ to put the pictures in- Can't wait to see how it comes out!

The Newlyweds in photobooth!
We are doing a 'message in a bottle' for my Bridal Shower invites! I actually wanted to stay out of some planning for once- but I thought of this idea which kinda got me involved. Jason and I REALLY want to go on a nice HM, so we registered for one, and we are now going with the Caribbean theme for the bridal shower. These aren't the exact ones, my BM and I changed the look a bit. We got white sand, a few small shells to put inside, the invites are on aqua blue metallic paper, and tying them with a little straw piece. We also may emboss a shell stamp on the invite? I'm excited b/c its an opposite 'theme' from the wedding, lighten up the mood a little bit :) I get to use some color and prettiness.
Finished product!!! (before the labels)
Another thing to take off my list! My sisters/ MOH took care of the BB for me :)
DIY Invitations....
All supplies were purchased at Paper-Source. (Black Diagonal Fold Invite, Star-dream opal paper, red embossing glitter, Scroll & RSVP stamps, heating tool, and red Stardream Mars envelopes). I had the main invite, which I embossed a scroll stamp off the side and 3 inserts, in which I also embossed the RSVP stamp too. I loved the way they came out. MY DH helped me soooo much with these!
We used Stardream Quartz paper from Paper-Source and used a Damask print for the border- we fit 2 menus per 8.5 X 11 so that helped cut peper costs down... Easy and cheap detail!
Ta-daaa!
Wedding pics of them:
We named our tables in Italian to go with our theme- they are different 'relationship' words.... (We originally got the idea from the wedding cakes that have words all over it- used the same concept with the table names and just translated them into Italian!)
We framed them in 5 X 7 black frames from Michaels, and wrote the words on our meatllic paper from Paper-Source. We finished them off by adding our typical touch of damask for the border...
Jason and I made all of our placecards the week of the wedding- all material was puchased at Paper-Source!
We cut the red metalic paper and scored them in half using the tool from Paper-Source ($4) then Jason printed sheets of guest names with their table and I just cut and taped down using double sided tape. We used the same two fonts we were using throughout the wedding- Copperplate and Scriptina...
Jason and I work for a race team and our boss was kind enough to give us the best "Something Blue" ever!!! It was a huge surprise and hit for our guests, and a blast to have as our getaway car! A little horse power couldn't hurt on the wedding day! We drove it from the ceremony to the reception, and we kept it out front at both locations for eye candy :)
