The proposal

It was a pretty simple day. My FH and I took my kids out for a busy filled day before he had to drive back to his home city. (We lived about 3 1/2 hrs apart) Then we all had Sunday dinner, then headed home. As I sat in my bedroom watching him gather his stuff, he sat it all down and started talking to me about how much he loved me. Said that I was a big part of his life and that he wanted it to be forever (not word for word. :) ) He grabbed my hand got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I told him yes as I cried, while he slipped the ring onto my finger. It's a very antique looking ring with a twist. My FH knows how much I love the color blue and I'm a big gemstone freak so he gave me his birthstone as my engagement ring.

What funny, the entire time we was out that day, my fiance's grandmother kept calling him and the only reply I kept hearing from him was "No, not yet".  And he kept texting back and forth.  I found out recently, even though we got engaged in January, from my Best Friend that he was texting her telling her he was going to propose and sent her pics of the ring asking if she thinks I would like it.  And apparently his Grandmother kept calling because he told her he was going to ask me that day and she wanted to know if he pulled the nerve to do it!  So funny because when I look back on it he was quite suspicious!
