Ramon and I took a 6 week dance course which we paid a fortune for. We chose The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra It was super sweet and extra cutesy.... after many days of practicing and a week leading up to our wedding, we decided to CHANGE IT! I repeat! We changed it only a week away!! Now some people would call this insane! But honestly, when it get's down to it... we wanted a more intimate dance. One we can look into each others eyes and soak up every minute. Don't get me wrong, a choreographed wedding is beautiful and very much entertaining, however, Ramon and I wanted to focus on the moment, eye to eye, without trying to figure out the next dance move.
It was beautiful. We decided to take our first dance as husband and wife to So Amazing remixed by Beyonce and Stevie Wonder!
FATHER / DAUGHTER DANCE
This was such a heartfelt moment for my dad and I. For those of you who don't know... I am what you call a true daddy's girl. I will do anything for this man! Since this dance meant so much to my dad, I went ahead and allowed him 100% full authority over the song selection... and what song did he choose? Ready, Set, Don't Go by Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus. MAN LADIES! If you have yet to hear this song... it's a must! Definitely a tear jerker!!
MOTHER / SON DANCE
Just like how I am a daddy's girl... My husband is a mommy's boy. The only difference was Ramon wanted to choose the song. He chose A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. MAN! You want to talk emotional? You should've been here to witness. EVERYONE had tears in their eyes. It was such a beautiful moment. Ramon sung the whole song to his mom while dancing. Just beautiful!
