The best night of my life! It was the coldest night of the year so far, and he took me to this Christmas village about two hours away from where we live so we could watch them light the lights for the season. Everything was perfect, we were eating a delicious dinner in a cozy restaurant when he started talking about us and began playing with a ring that he gave me for our first Christmas, he took it off and was playing with it and talking about the memories made since then, and then slipped the ring back on (or so I thought). When I looked down, it was my ENGAGEMENT RING! I immediately burst into tears, everyone started congratulating us, we took the picture below right, and the restaurant brought us a yummy cake. FI knew that I dreamed of getting engaged in a winter wonderland since I was a little girl, and he made it happen! <3
My dream ring. The diamond is an heirloom from FI's family, and was re-set in a Tacori band. Takes my breath away, and I feel like a very lucky girl. :)
This is our baby... adopted as an 18 month old pup from a local shelter, she's our constant entertainment and the sweetest, biggest lapdog I've ever known. Ah, love.

We had an amazing engagement party with 50 close friends and family and couldn't have been happier to just spend time with everyone we care so much about. And eat great food, of course. :) We went with a winter theme for the party (because of our engagement story) with cream and gold with red accents. I made the centerpieces for the tables with red roses from Costco (I think $8.99 for 2 dozen?!) and printed the invitations from Target (everyone thought they had to be expensive! I swear, I love Target!).

I always liked "friends of honor" better than bridesmaids! Sounds so... maid-ish! I'm sure you'll catch me saying bm on here all the time as it's just easier, though. Anway... here's the DRESS! It took me so long to find something, and it was worth it... I love it and they all look amazing (did I have any doubts that they would?!). PS- one word. POCKETS.
They will be this color, Latte. :)
My mom bought her dress a few months ago, but FI's mom is still on the hunt! Stay tuned...

We're getting married in the catholic church that we both grew up in. Our reception will be held in the Grande Ballroom at the Eden Resort.

We will be staying for 5 nights at the Valentin Imperial Maya resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It's an all-inclusive, adults only resort that looks absolutely gorgeous and we can't WAIT to relax there after the big day. :)
