About Us

We were engaged on Sept. 18, 2009, after 3 years of dating.  We quickly set a date for July 10, 2010.  Having less than a year has made the planning crazy.  But it has been fun, and PW has been a huge help.

We met while we were both in graduate school at one of the local universities.  We had different degree programs, but overlapping assistantships.  At first, I didn't want to date him because I had only 2 semesters left, and I wanted to focus on graduation and finding a job.  But, when another girl from his dept. tried to go out with him, I realized I wanted him to be with me, and only me.  In academia, it is rare for a couple to graduate from the same university, and both find positions in the same town.  We know how lucky we have been, in our careers, and our personal lives.  One of our favorite hobbies is budget travel.
