My FH and I met during the summer of 2004 while I was a student in Santa Barbara, CA. One day he walked into the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, while I was working and trying to get the store closed for the night. He was cute and funny and decided to hang out by the fire-pit while I closed down. We ended up talking for hours and had some great laughs that night. He came back a few days later while I was studying and asked me on a real date and I agreed...we have been together ever since and celebrated our 5 year anniversary of June 24th, 2009.

PINK & GOLD!!!
Because the venue is in such a beautiful, natural environment, we are going to use flowers sparingly for the outdoor ceremony...mainly petals for a runner and one or two arrangements that will cover a metal stair-rail. In the Tasting Room, there will be lots of candles and one large arrangement behind the bar. The shelves will be covered in candles and small glasses with the gold square vases and hydrangeas. In the Barrel Room for dinner we will have 3-4 candelabras on the long king's table with candles hanging off and pink and white flowers, with gold spray painted eucalyptus. I can't wait to see it!!!

These gorgeous table numbers with love quotes were made by Etsy's ladylovebird http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=8185001. They are just amazing and will look wonderful with these cork holders I am going to make...

The Real Thing:
Inspiration:
I searched endlessly for invitations that evoked the theme we wanted at our modern vineyard with a hint of deco charm. When I say I was on every site imaginable, I mean it! Then one day I cam across Painted Tongue Studio and the exquisite Letterpress invites that they created took my breath away. Immediately I knew they were probably too much, but then I noticed they were running a deal...check out the site for information on it:

For a quarter of what LP usually costs, we are getting AMAZING invites on Crane paper! Here is a picture from Painted Tongue of the invite we will have. The text will be in gold and the flowers in pink with gold centers.
Ring!!!
Mike had it made based on the Tiffany's Legacy design that I have been coveting since before we started dating. My ring sparkles like there is no tomorrow and was well worth the almost 5 year wait. Before we had gotten engaged I took him into Tiffany & Co. to look at the Legacy and he said "It's ugly, I hate it. It looks like a super bowl ring." This, of course, devastated me but like any woman determined to marry the man she loves, I went and found other rings that I liked. Then on April 4th, when Mike proposed, he opened the box and there it was...the ring I had always wanted!
Ring Stats: I know a lot about jewelry and love learning about how diamonds are graded, so I have provided this information in case you, dear reader, are just like me.

Mike and I could not agree on a ring for him. I wanted something in platinum to match my ring, he wanted titanium or something really dark and from what I could tell UGLY! So, we went to Tiffany's and as always the store came to the rescue.
Coin Edge ring
Engine-turned engraving creates a masculine motif. Ring in sterling silver and titanium, midnight.

David's Bridal ($150)--This dress is so cute and it has pockets! My MOH, Heather, looks
amazing in it. After the wedding, she can take it up and it will be the perfect LBD.
