{The Wedding Gift}

Ben told me there was a huge sale at Baily, Banks, and Biddle, and my eyes seriously lighted up. So I went into Baily, Banks, and Biddle thinking that we would pick out my wedding band. I should note Ben always mentioned that he wanted the Omega Speedmaster professional watch for as long as I've known him. So there he was drooling over his watch on sale. "Uh I'll get it for you as a wedding gift", I tell him. A tiny part of me wanted him to decline since it was so expensive, and I knew I wouldn't want to get my wedding band that day if I bought the watch. Before I knew it, I was handing over my credit card to the saleslady, counting the zeros in my head. So I left ringless, but it was all worth it for Ben. Sadly, I will be eating bread and crackers for the rest of the year!

So here it is, the infamous watch.

how funny! i was in the same predicament. i offered to buy fi an automatic watch, but didn't think he would agree to it so quick since he is so picky with the watches we have looked at before. lucky for me he went with the movado instead of the longines! your fi is a lucky man!
