After 3 months TTC, we got our BFP on September 30, 2010 and were expecting a beautiful baby boy to be named Landon James on June 8th, 2011! Here he is at 19 weeks, 6 days!
Landon was born 5 days before his due date! He came into the world on June 3, 2011 at 10:05am. He weighs 9lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. We're so in love!
Jeff and I have been together for a little over 2 years. We met on Match.com and then in person for the first time at a Starbucks in December 2006. We live in Stamford, CT and we have a cat named Peanut. We got engaged on July 18, 2008 at the promenade on the Brooklyn Bridge. I had an idea that Jeff was going to propose soon, but I didn't know exactly when, so I was in for a bit of a shock when he did ask me! The proposal was so romantic and exciting for both of us!
We are planning a wedding for July 3, 2009 in Long Island, which is where Jeff is from. I was born and raised in CT, but Jeff's family is bigger, so LI won out for the wedding location. It's been a lot easier than expected to plan an out of state wedding! We are heading back to Disney (where we took our first vacation together) for our honeymoon starting July 5, 2009. We're staying at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and I cannot wait for a week of romantic dinners and couples' massages!
I graduated from Marist College in 2006 with a degree in psychology and a license to teach in CT. I teach health, writing, and study skills at a private school for learning disabled kids in Greenwich, CT and I have been there since 2006. I love my job and find it very rewarding! Jeff graduated from Harvard in 2003 and is a business analyst and project manager for a financial firm in Stamford.

I wanted a gorgeous dress of course, but I didn't want anything too elaborate and I didn't want to spend several grand on a dress I'd be wearing one time! I went to David's Bridal and found the perfect dress for me! It's so flattering and I cannot wait to wear it in July!
I'm not wearing a necklace, but the rest of this is accurate! Don't mind my face in the one on the right, I wanted to show you my tiara!
I splurged big time on my shoes, which are Kate Spade "Mattie." I love them so much! They're super comfortable and the heel is only 2 inches or so, which is important to me! I'm already 5'8.5" and I didn't want to be much taller on my wedding day!
I got mine in white, I think the ones in this picture are ivory.
We are having peonies everywhere! I love them! All the pictures I got below are from The Knot.
These 2 pictures were the inspiration for our centerpieces. We are having bright pink and white peonies in a square vase with an underlay of blue hydrangeas to satisfy Jeff's desire for some "manly" color! We will also have 3 glasses much like the ones you see on the left, at each table. I get to see a sample centerpiece on Saturday! I can't wait!
My bouquet will be similar to this, only instead of green hydrangeas, there will be white peonies. I also want my bouquet wrapped with white ribbon, not pink. My MOH will have a mini version of my bouquet (6 flowers only in hers) and the other bridesmaids will have bouquets made of 6 bright pink peonies. I'm thinking their flowers will also be wrapped in white ribbon.
This picture was the inspiration for our wedding cake design. I originally was going to do pink ribbon, but my fiance's aunt pointed out that since the girls were wearing champagne, and I had a champagne sash, that having a ribbon on the cake to match all of that would look nicer and she's right! The only difference aside from ribbon color is that each tier will also have a bow.
Also, our cake topper is Precious Moments Disney Figurines, not flowers.
For the filling, we picked a nice, simple yellow cake with vanilla buttercream. Yum!
This is the order our ceremony will be in. I copied and pasted it from our program, but removed the names of people involved for obvious reasons.

My future SIL found our knife/server set and flutes before I even thought about it! She asked me if I liked them and then bought them for us for out engagement party! They're Lenox Jubilee Pearl!
I ordered 2 so that we can toss one and keep one! I love my garter! It's very typical of me to choose something like this! :)
My wedding band is platinum and has diamonds across the top just like my engagement ring. Jeff's is just solid platinum. He wanted something simple, and I think that was his best bet. He tried on more elaborate stuff and it just didn't look right on him.
My wedding set! I can't wait to wear both rings in July! :D
Our wedding bands! Sorry about the crappy lighting. It was hard to get a decent shot!
We went to the florist over the weekend to see a sample centerpiece and we were thrilled with the results!
This is everything set up. The only thing we're changing is that the blush peonies are going out and we're adding more bright pink ones in. The florist recommended this, and once we saw the arrangement on an ivory tablecloth (which is what we will have for our reception) we agreed. The blush flowers looked very washed out.
We also discussed the wrapping of the bouquets. Mine is blush, bright pink, and medium pink peonies. We're doing a white ribbon with sheer pink overlay. My MOH has a smaller version of my bouquet, and the other girls have bright pink peonies. They will have ivory ribbon with a sheer pink overlay. I don't have pictures of that, but it looked really pretty!
Only 5 weeks left! Time is flying!
I love our wording so much! Here it is with all the last names and locations taken out!

Reception to Follow
I sent in my playlist to the DJ yesterday evening! I'm so happy it's done, I worked on it for months! Here's a few of the highlights:
Parent Entrance: "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang
Wedding Party Entrance: "Livin on a Prayer" by Bonjovi
Bride and Groom Entrance: "Enter Sandman" by Metallica- We're huge Yankee fans, and this song is a classic Yankee's entrance for Mariano Rivera. We just HAD to do it!
First Dance: "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain and Bryan White
Father/Daughter Dance: "Blessed" by Elton John
Mother/Son Dance: "Through The Years" by Kenny Rogers
Cake Cutting: "The Sweetest Thing" by U2
Bouquet Toss: TV Theme from "Sex and the City"
Garter Removal: "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye
Garter Toss: "Another One BItes The Dust" by Queen
Putting garter on woman who caught bouquet: "Legs" by ZZtop
Last Dance of the night: "Your Song" by Elton John (he ends all of his concerts with this song, and I love him, so I wanted to end my wedding the same way!)
We also requested pretty much anything from the 80's and asked for no cheesy line dance songs except the "Cha Cha Slide." I love that one! :)
I figured I'd do a more complex bustle since my dress is very simple. It cost me a fortune!
The sash will be in a knot for the ceremony and a bow for the reception. The sash was too long once the dress was bustled and the bustled sash looked awful!
We are going to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa from July 5-12. Can't wait!
My girls did a FABULOUS job throwing me an amazing bachelorette party! We started off at a Holiday Inn in Stamford, which my girls checked into and decorated before picking me up, and went out to dinner and bar hopping in White Plains!
The theme was 80's night because I adore the music from that decade so much! My girls has "Bridesmaid" tanks that said "80's Ladies" on the back! I loved the theme and our outfits! We had so much fun going to different bars (I actually met a few other brides that were having their bachelorette parties as well!) I was so overwhelmed at all of the thought and love that went into planning this night for me. I love my MOH and bridesmaids so much!
We got these done yesterday! We did mini glass candy jars filled with Jelly Bellies in champagne, french vanilla, strawberry cheesecake, and strawberry daiquiri flavors!
Everything was absolutely perfect on our wedding day! I could not have asked for a better day or husband! We're thrilled! :D
