How we got engaged

I (Monica) had found a few rings that I liked online, but Tyler and I did not plan on getting engaged for atleast six more months. Tyler and I were in Kansas City with my parents so we decided to take a look at one of the rings I was considering at a place called Shane Co. When we got there I told a sales woman exactly which ring I wanted to look at and the sales lady said they did not have it in stock. So my mom said to just take a look around. I then walked over to a counter and looked down at the rings in the case this case being the very first one I decided to look at. I motioned for the sales woman and told her that there was a ring in the case that looked exactly like the one I had just asked for she replied with "oh my gosh how did that get in there I know every ring in these cases it must have just came in." It was like fate that the ring that had not been in stock a few seconds ago was right in front of me :) She then informed us that there were only five of these settings available in all of the Shane Co stores across the Nation and that if they sold the setting they had in stock most likely they would not be able to order me another one. Then they began to bring out center stones for the setting and we found the perfect one. So all in all everything just fell into place so Tyler decided to purchase the ring that day! I had to wait a week for the whole thing to be put together since the center stone was seperate from the setting. The day before we went to pick the ring up Tyler surprised me with flowers at work with a card that said "Will you Marry Me?" The next day we drove back to KC to pick up the ring and that night we surprised my two best friends Amanda and Courtney by showing up with the ring on my finger at our annual christmas gift exchange. We were all so excited!!

Here are some pictures of my "engagement flowers" and my ring!
