I'm not really sure what to put here. Yet, it seems a shame to just copy and paste my bio from Facebook or something... So I'll just say that I'm a 35 (yes, 35) year-old recently engaged (on Christmas!!!) mother of three. I am MADLY in love with my 29 (yes, 29) year-old fiancée and can't wait to marry him! I'm silly, funny, smart, funky, eclectic, unconventional chick... I dig my man.. he digs me... #theend.

Let's see... where do I begin? One night... about a year or so ago... I decided that once I got off from work, I would go out and get my groove on. After all, I was single and I needed to unwind. So, that night I got dressed in my funkiest outfit and hit the club. After a night of dancing and sweating (I am NOT a wallflower), the party was over and I was sitting outside waiting for my friends from the band to come outside. Out of nowhere, this very serious-looking young man approached me, introduced himself, and proceeded to ask me if I was interested in attending an open-mic night soon. I said, "Sure!" He said, "Good. Now that THAT'S out of the way... would you mind if I got to know you personally?" I was interested because he didn't come off as your regular, "hey baby... hey sexy" type of guy. <--- (I HATE that, BTW). So, we exchanged numbers and, as they say, the rest is history!!!

Sometimes I sit and think in amazement at the serendipity that brought me and him together. He's the best friend I've EVER had and he loves me with a tenderness and passion that every girl dreams of. As I say, "He may not be perfect, but he's perfect for me!"

Pink and Black are my absolute FAVORITE colors (as you can see from my profile photo). BUT... I'm not sure if my FH is gonna go for the whole pink thing... we'll see! (Images from http://www.chocolatebrides.com)

With the theme of our wedding set as "Harlem Nights", I want a color scheme that will work well with that theme. I've seen several weddings that use  Light Gray/Silver and Fuchsia.

One of our favorite movies to watch is Harlem Nights. My FH and I love the elegance, the cool, the swag, and most of all, the fashion of the 1930's. So, when trying to come up with a theme, it was easy to decide on one that reflects our most favorite movie.

I saw this on www.socialcouture.com. They do amazing ready-to-order parties, complete with decor and all. This was my first inspiration for our wedding. Love the feathers and the bling!!! :)
