DIY Projects

Ceremony Decor photo 6

Moss Letters:  By far the messiest of DIY projects so far.  They only took about 2 hours and I'm really happy with the results.  They will hang of the doors leading into the santuary.  So when the doors are open they are visible in the lobby area.  When the doors are closed (during the ceremony) they will be visible to the congregation.

Monogrammed Aisle Runner:  This project didn't take as long as I thought it would.  I purchased the fabric aisle runner from Linen Tablecloth.  It was satin on one side and a crepe type fabric on the reverse (I painted the non-satin side).  I used a computer projector to trace the monogram and then painted it using fabric paint.  I let each color dry for an entire day.  Afterwards I ironed it to set the color. :)

Hello. It looks like you and I have the exact same idea going on for our church wedding. I couldn't find a picture of the lanterns hanging like that so if you don't mind i'd like to put this picture on my page. Just let me know. :) Also I don't know how big you want your lanterns to be but I found some today at Michaels for 2.99 a piece. They are small so if that is something you are looking for i'd check there. They have them in white and black. :)
