I know some of you asked about my "Say Yes to the Dress" episode. It is airing Friday, May 7th at 9:30pm on TLC!
I hope you can watch! There is footage from both my dress shopping at Kleinfeld's and the wedding! :)
My photographer put this together...thought I would share!
Okay, so I have not logged onto project wedding in months. I was too busy the few days before and after, couldn't bring myself to log on. I am so bummed that it's all over...I want to do it all over again. I have so many beautiful pictures to look at, which I do like everyday. I also am editing my own wedding video, with the sort of like therapy, but still...I am so sad :( I seriously was looking forward to my wedding forever and I just cannot believe that it's over with...
I will post pictures for you all to see and I will try to put all the details up so you can see how it all came out. Thank you to all of those who gave toasts, too :)
Last week I had my hair trial, but I am having trouble deciding which style to wear on the big day. If you could comment which one you like best, that would be a huge help!!! :) I will be taking the veil out after the ceremony, but keeping the flower in.
The side swept style is more fun.
The half down look is more classic.
What do you think?
Yesterday, I went into NYC to do another interview for "Say Yes to the Dress." It was soooo wet and rainy, but my fiance and I still had a blast! They even wanted to interview him! While he was in the interview room, they gave him a wedding dress quiz with questions such as, "What is a trumpet style gown," and "What is a crumb catcher?" Hysterical!!! I hope they put that on TV! We also spoke to Randy for a bit, who may be the sweetest man in the world. He and Matt ended up having the same ring from Tiffany's...what are the chances?
Of course, it pours all day!
Matt, Randy and I...yay! :)
Outside the lovely Kleinfelds.
So, I just bought this ivory hair flower from etsy seller blissfulmoments...it was $7.00!!! I couldn't bring myself to pay $50 or $60 like some sellers want. I will let you know how is looks when I get it.
So, a freind told me that my wedding website (matthewandcaitlin.com) was not working. I discovered that my subscription had run out and when I tried to renew it, it said I couldn't because wedorama was bought by wedding tracker or something crazy like that!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
"Today, I couldn't renew my wedding website...FML..."
So, even though I spent WAY too much on my Lilly shoes, I just bought these from misshammy. :)
I have been so inspired by everyones GREAT shoe pics, I wanted something blue to stand out under my dress fr photos, too. I am so excited to get them and try them on! :)
So, after a disaster of an experience at Stylish Impressions in Farmington, CT with my first dress, I decided to apply to be on "Say Yes to the Dress" just for fun...and they picked me! I got to head to NYC to the one and only Kleinfeld Bridal Salon to try on about a dozen dresses. It was such a crazy expereince but totally worth it! They also called me recently to tell me they want to come to the wedding to record some of that, too!!
The episode I will be on will air during Season 4, which starts in August 2009! I will let you know an exact date when the producers tell me so you can watch! :)
Here is my dress. It is by Alita Graham:
I REALLY wanted the Melissa Sweet "Dora" dress (with the Swiss Dot material), but it was out of my price range. I saw this dress with the polka dots and fell in love and I could afford it!!!
Here is me and my family outside of Kleinfeld's after buying my dress:
Here is the jewelry I will be wearing with my wedding dress:
Elsa Peretti Open Heart Lariat Necklace

Figure Eight Freshwater Pearl Bracelet

I still have to work on earrings...
Here are my shoes. Lilly Pulitzer McKim Wedge Sandles in White. My dress is ivory, but who cares? I had to get these anyways! :)

I am making small blue boxes with ribbon filled with Hersey Kisses for favors.
I am almost done with them:
Here was my inspiration:

So, I bought this invitation kit from Michael's and decided to save money by printing my own invites. If you have time, I would suggest doing this. It not only saves money, but lets you be crafty!
Here is how they turned out:
Sorry the picture is small.
The directions map. I made this myself on PowerPoint!
Matt and I have decided one a four tier cake with an assortment of different flavors: Vanilla with Cannolli filling, Marble with Mocha filling, Vanilla with Custard filling and Vanilla with Fudge filling!
Our cake is Tiffany & Co meets polka dot central!
Here is the drawing I did for the baker:
It was based off of some of these cakes:

Yes, #1. The list was originally 70 people, so we split into two showers...one with my family and one with Matt's family.
Here are some pictues from the shower with my family:
Opening some gifts... BEST cake ever!!!
Me and MOH, Emily. Opening gift from Mom.
Me and sister Amanda. All the girls!!
Me and Grandma. Alex, me and Emily.
I love Gerbera dasies! They are so fun and remind me of summer! When my florist said they would hold up great in hot weather, I know they were what I wanted!
Big light pink and medium pink for boquets:
The centerpieces will have the same flowers as the boquets, but then some turquoise died flowers to go with the theme :)
Boutonnieres for the guys...

With a beautiful ring from Tiffany & Co, why not make the whole wedding a Tiffany theme? :)
Bridesmaid Dresses from JCrew:

And the flip flops to match (bottom right) from Old Navy:

This is what the guys are wearing:
They are wearning black linen-look jackets with microfiber khacki pants, turqpouse pinddot ties and black leather flip flops.
After months of searching, we finally found the perfect place for our wedding and reception. It is the Whitney Farms Golf Club in Monroe, CT. They can fit the 250+ people we are having and have great prices!

The golf view room (one of the right) is beautiful!

This is the back deck where will will be getting married:
One day in May 2007 in NYC, Matt and I saw this huge poster in Grand Central Station of a new Tiffany & Co ring called "Novo." I almost died! It was the most beautiful thing I had EVER seen!

It is actually the ring that is given to Liv in Bride Wars:

So, when Matt asked me to marry him, I was NEVER expecting that ring...it is so much $$$! But, the morning after he poped the question, he took me to Tiffany in Westport and had already had it picked out for me to size!!!!!
Here is my ring with the wedding band (we bought it a few weeks ago and I HAD to try it on together! :) )
Matt's Tiffany & Co platinum wedding band:

Here are some pictures from our engagement shoot last summer:
