Shut the Front Door!

Okay so FI and I have been together 11 yrs... We met at a bar and I can tell you I was just not into him at that time. I was all about dating B-Ball players who stood at 6'9 and here was this obviously short 5'10" Surfer dude who did not fit into the perfect Huxtable box I had planned out. Let me tell you FI tried so hard all night to get me to show him some interest. I just let him keep buying free drinks and pretty much ignored all of his gestures. So when we left out of the bar he came up and said to me "You know this is going to be the last time I ask for your phone number" Well I gave it to him and he of course called the next day asking me out. Let me tell you that if he didn't follow me out I would never have dated him.

Proposal:

We went to the opening of my sister's show in Las Vegas (PEEPSHOW) he took me to the top of the Eiffel Tower to watch the sunset. We were taking pictures and he asked me to come over and look at this picture he had taken. When he showed it to me it was distorted. I told him that the picture was ugly and that something was blocking it.

He told me to look again, I asked why since he needed to take a better shot and I turned my back away from him totally ruining everything. Frustrated with me he turned me around and in his hands was my ring...... OMG he had done good, real, real good ;)

We are planning an August 14, 2010 wedding and let me tell you I'm such the Anti-Bride.......... consider me a blank canvas. When people ask me what my dream wedding is, I constantly have to tell them I don't know I didn't dream about weddings. I dreamed about dancing and becoming a professional dancer. I'm hoping to learn so much here because you guys on this board are so damn creative.
