We got engaged on May 12, 2005. Alan took me on a walk and gave me a "birthday" present, one day before my birthday. The gift was the ring. It was very sweet. The next night, my birthday party became an impromptu engagement party too.

Alan and I hit the town the day after our engagement to celebrate my birthday and our upcoming nuptuals.
