How we met....

We met my freshman year of college when we were students at Virginia State University (VSU). We were at a fraternity party and I saw him staring at me from across the room. Eventually, he came up to me and asked me to dance. I said "no", but later went back up to him and said "I want to dance now". We danced off of a song by Tony..Toni..Tone..titled "Just Me and You". There was definately an attraction between us, but at the time we were both in relationships so it didn't go much further than a friendship. After that semester, Jeremy left VSU because his mother became sick and he moved back to his hometown..St. Louis, MO. In November 2006, I went back to VSU for homecoming and my 10yr sorority anniversary..and LOW AND BEHOLD I saw Jeremy (12 years later). THE TIMING WAS PERFECT! This started our friendship again which blossomed into a close relationship. Jeremy proposed on the evening of Feb 14, 2009 in a dimly lit church decorated with roses on every pew. I walked into the sanctuary and the song titled "When I First Saw You" (Jamie Foxx/Dream Girls Soundtrack)was playing. At this point I knew he was going to propose. The proposal was absolutely AMAZING and he is an AMAZING person. Jeremy has truly been a blessing in my life and I THANK GOD FOR HIM!
