MY VENUE: The first thing that happens when you walk into Cascade is a gasp. The place takes your breath away. You find yourself walking into this amazing ballroom with towering cathedral ceilings and elegant decor, and imagining yourself in the center of the grand dance floor. It is a spectacular place to have an event. Especially a wedding.
This beautiful picture is where I will be saying my "I Do's" to my best friend :)
Here is the grand ballroom
The grounds are absolutely immaculate making for great photos right on location!
There's even a waterfall on site!
Cocktail hour room that I can't wait to decorate with my tiffany blue satin linens :)
And a MUST HAVE photo at the end of the night
Some DIY projects I've been working on as part of my beachy SandCastle themed wedding
Centerpieces:
This process has been really fun because I've been collecting the apothecary vases and sandcastles as the months pass. After initially meeting with our florist and finding out how much my peonies were going to cost ($$$!!!) I decided to skip out on the floral centerpieces and came up with this idea instead. I totally think I made the right decision. I am head over heels for them! What do you think?
My PlaceCards:
Originally I wanted to do all sand dollars and starfish but I've seen a million beach brides do this and I wanted to add a different flair. So I am going to be incorporating coral pieces.
I am planning on affixing tags to them with names as the escort cards.
CAKE Inspiration: Wow this was a tough decision. I originally wanted to do a sandcastle for a cake but ulitmately for peace of mind decided on a more "easier" design for the cake vendor. However I still
want to use my castle cake topper :)
My Cardbox: I found this vintage looking birdcage at a consignment store and then decided to make it beachy with a few things I had from my wedding workshop. I wanted to keep it simple and chic.
My DIY inspiration board! I created this to represent my colors which are Tiffany blue/Seafoam, Blush pink and Cream.
Our theme is a beachy Sandcastle
vibe thus our centerpieces are my most fabulous DIY project to date. They are different shaped apothecary jars with sand, shells, starfish and miniature real sandcastles in them.
For the ceremony, we’re keeping it simple: I already made DIY pomanders to hang down the aisles. All I need is to buy shepard hooks for them in the Spring when the sales hit stores. ::crossing my fingers::
I also plan on having the pergola at the ceremony decorated like the photo shown below
More pics in my DIY section of bioThere was however ONE exception to this money conservation idea. MY BOUQUET. I knew from the very beginning of our engagement that I was going to have peonies in my hands. I actually planned on having peonies everywhere at first. For my bridesmaids, for the centerpieces, Everywhere! Then we met with the florist and that's when reality set in. It simply wasn't practical or affordable within our budget to do that. So by cutting back in the above areas I am able to still have my gorgeous peonies in hand on the big day!
Here is my bouquet inspiration pictures.

I always wear my hair parted to the side and I am just loving her deep side swoop she has going on. I am also bringing these
images I have pin straight hair (boring) and this will add some drama on the big day. Speaking of drama, I am going with a slight poof on top as well, def. won't catch me with a flat top. I'm all about the 70's Poof in the hair, However with my bubble veil I can't overdo the poofy stuff so I have to tone it down. And to top off the drama I will be having eyes that Really stand out!
As far as pricing goes:
