How we met:
We met at a Movie Theater in Brooklyn, NY. We were in line to see “The Barbershop”. He introduced himself and sparked a conversation. Since our tickets weren’t for the same theater, he convinced me to exchange numbers and catch up after. We never had a chance to meet up that night. However, we did a few days later and spoke every day since.
The Proposal:
He proposed intimately at our apartment. I came home to flowers and dinner.Shortly after he expressed his desire to be with me for the rest of our lives. Followed by THE question…
After a few window shops...and exactly 6 years since we first met, he said “let’s go to the city!”. Once we arrived at the shop, I closed my eyes as he got down on one knee; proceeding to put the ring on my pointer finger–YES. LMAO! Eventually he found the ring finger and the whole store cheered! :-)

I have zero experience; but I have a little time on my hands, so I am gonna give a few things a shot. I did these all free style from the top of my head:
"I Do" letters for cake table- Got them from Michael's and spray painted them gold! ;-)
Gift/Card box *UPDATED*- Everything is from Michael's and I just draped the cardboard over with some fabric from another store. I didn't even bother to look for directions. I just winged it. I would have used wrapping paper or something but its not really the season and fern green is such a hard color to find.
First Time (left) Second time (right)- just changed the leaves to gold and added ribbon. Same fabric, just different lighting.
Direction Card Inserts- Traced a map... formatted on word... printed @ staples. Map and contact info one side and directions on the other.
Framed invitations set for guest book table frames from the dollar store! ;-)
I spray painted small craft pumpkins gold to go with these pieces. I will decorate the fireplace mantels with these.
This is my favorite one so far. I haven't seen this done exactly anywhere yet so if you like it- give a sista some credit! lol Instead of using candles, I spray painted pine cones and put them in little glass votives. Since my wedding is during day light, candles wouldn't work. I also added one leaf at the bottom. These will go on my cocktail tables.
Reserved signs for the ceremony chairs. Card stock, my printer and leaves from the dollar store. I pinned the leaves to the card stock so that it can stay better. I used a tiny clothes pin.
