DH and I were married in August 2002. We eloped. Soon after, we decided to have a "real" wedding. The wedding planning has literally spanned over 5 years.

We were supposed to have the wedding last year. August 2007, but unfortunately, we had to postpone. It was upsetting, but it has given me more time to plan an even more fabulous affair.

Our wedding is now planned for August 2009. It will be held on our 7th year wedding anniversary. Very romantic.

Here is my gorgeous gown. It is by Alvina Valenta.

I was never into the "traditional" wedding dresses. I wanted something unique, stylish and chic. I wanted a gown that wasn't really the norm.

I dub this gown "The Stunner".  It took me 1.5 years to find the perfect gown. It was well worth the wait.

Iwas going to wear my chapel train veil, but I think I might wear one of the feather combs below for the ceremony.

I absolutely LOVE jewelry from Haute Bride. I ordered this gorgeous bracelet with matching earrings. The bracelet below has 3 strands of pearls. I ordered mine with only 1 strand of pearls and I love it.

Ok, so I purchased a pair of hot Steve Madden shoes, but I am not sure if I will wear them.

Here is a pic of them.

Here is another shoe I am considering. I actually purchased these before, but gave them to another bride to wear. I might purchase them again. They went so well with my dress.

Grazia "Vanessa"

I love the bouquets below. Mine will be modeled after one of these gorgeous bouquets.

My DH will be wearing a black tux with a creme silk tie.

These are 3 different Bouts we are considering.

The Flower Girl will be our gorgeous daughter. I searched for months for the perfect gown for her. I finally found a gown from Watters&Watters that was absolutely stunning. The color of the gown is Champagne.

The 2 gowns below are my final choices. The one is by Jim Hjelm and the other is by Vera Wang. I love both dresses, but I think the Vera Wang might be the winner. Both me and my Matron of Honor love this gown.

1. Vera Wang (dress #1 in this pic):

I am Catholic and we are having our vow renewal in the Catholic church that I grew up in. The outside of the church is nice, but the inside is absolutely breathtaking.

Here is a pic of the outside. I will post pics of the inside as soon as I am able to go there and take some.

Below is a photo of our reception site. Gorgeous. And the food is to die for.

This is a rough draft of the possible table decor set up.

COMING SOON!!

Here is our gorgeous cake. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the one.

I wanted to do something a bit different for our favors. I didn't want to do the standard candies or candles. I decided that I would give our guests these yummy pasteries below.

1. Chocolate butter cake with German chocolate filling of coconut, topped and layered with pecans and chocolate ganache on sides; a layered carrot cake studded with raisins, walnuts and freshly grated carrots with cream cheese filling and a sprinkle of cinnamon; and a coconut butter cake filled with homemade lemon curd, roasted coconut and white chocolate buttercream.

2. Busy Bee, consists of layers of bittersweet chocolate butter cake, almond butter cake, bittersweet chocolate mousse and marzipan; Checkerboard, consists of chocolate and vanilla cakes in a checkerboard pattern with bittersweet chocolate buttercream filling; and Pear Almond, contains layers of almond cake filled with poached pears and bavarian cream.

3.  Vanilla butter cake filled with lemon curd and raspberry preserves

Coconut butter cake with lemon curd, iced with buttercream

Orange butter cake with lemon curd and raspberry preserves

Here are some centerpieces and candleholders I am considering for the reception.

Well it looks like we have changed our venue. We were going to have it the place pictured above, but it seems like it might be a bit of a hassle.

So, we are going with our second choice venue. Because we are now going with a new venue, I probably not be able to go with the color scheme I have been planning. I was going with different shades of white with some crystals. Now, with the new venue, the white color scheme may not work well, so I am starting to consider different color schemes..

I am in the process of deciding on a new color scheme. I am leaning towards either yellow, black and white which I love and is very modern.
