Hi PW brides!
I love reading all of your bios, and wanted to write a little bit about my self. I'm 27 years old and live in Denmark - far far away! My fiance proposed in the summer of '09, while we were on vacation in Italy. I didn't see it coming and was completely blown away.
For a living I'm a legal advisor and my fiance is a store manger. We live near the Danish-German border in a town called Sønderborg. In june '08 we had a little girl called Lise - she's fantastic!
We've known each other since 2003 and lived together since 2005.
We are getting married on the 26 of june, and having a very modern venue and reception.
I found this site by luck, and is very impressed by the lavish and beautiful weddings that seem to be the norm in USA.
On some parts american and danish traditions are very different, but I hope to get a lot of inspiration in order to plane an unique wedding for me and FI.
If I've used any of your pictures, please let me know so I can give you credit.
The dress is viewable to friends only - please send me a request.
Last july we were going to Italy on vacation. Just before we left he came and put his computer in the trunk of the car. I asked what he needed it for, since this was a vacation. Well he really needed to check his work mail during the week.
I was so angry, he had never brought it before and he really needed and deserved the time off. I didn't speak a word for an hour (and that's a long time for me ;o) I didn't suspect a thing.
The first night at the hotel we put our daughter to sleep and then went out on the balcony with a cold glas of white wine. It was such a warm and beautiful night. Suddenly in the glow of the candles he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I WAS SHOCKED!!! And then I started crying, I mean really cried. And of course I said yes after 5 minutes of catching my breath.
It was a very romantic, personal and intimate proposal. I'll treasure that evening forever!
He had hidden the ring in his computerbag, and almost confessed back in DK, when I got angry because he brought it on the vacation - wow did I feel bad ;o)
A huge fan of pastel!
But I'm still considering adding a hot pink????
We are going to be married in the church where our daughter was christened - A beautiful old chuch very near our home.
And last - the looong walk down the aisle. It's gonna be amazing!
In the area where we live, there have up until now been only three venues that could host weddings of a certain size.
But we really wanted to make this our wedding, so when we heard this place opened up for weddings we cancelled the first place immediately. Now non of our guests will have attended a wedding at our venue before ours.
It is right
down to the water and very bright and modern.
We might have our first dance out on the terrace if the weather allows it.
I think it will look amazing at night time, with hundreds of lights in the trees and lots of flowers.
We are going
to cut the cake on the balcony while the groundfloor is prepared for dancing, and the band warms up.
This is my inspiration
It is going to be a rich chocolate cake with raspberry mousse - yum yum.
I really love the idea of coloured shoes looking out from under the dress, but in the end i couldn't find any shoes i liked better then these.
Perfect fit and ready for the dancefloor;o)
... but maybe a 2 veil bride????
I'm currently considering which veil I'm going to wear - any input are welcome
#1 - a multiple layer modern cut veil
or
#2 - a classic single layer knee lenght veil
My daughter will be 2 at the time of the wedding.

She will be wearing a pink tutu, a pink silk top, with a great bow tied around it and pink ballarina shoes. Now I just need to find some really cute pink bloomers.
FI will be wearing a black Tiger Of Sweden tux, but with a white bow tie

We are going to Alicante in Spain
It is a gift from my parents and I can't wait to go. We've both worked really hard this spring, and deserve some serious relaxing.
This is the house we've booked
