One upon a time, a very smart Zambian had created a website to allow Zambians from various parts of the world to reunite and discuss various issues. This website was very popular amongst the Zambians living in the United States and Canada and it was here that the two of us took the first initiative of being in touch with each other.
From the beginning, there had always been a connection between us, apart from the fact that we both were from the same town and at some point in our lives attended the same school.Over the years we stayed in touch and would check up on each other frequently. It was not until the end of 2009, that we started seriously talking and entertaining the idea of being a couple.
Our first official date was on May 22, 2010 in New York City, at a Mexican restaurant called Lucy's nestled in the middle of the city behind Madison Square garden.
It was such a surreal moment.
