February 2008, is when this story began to unfold. Alishia, was sitting at home surfing a dating website. She was thinking about randomly messaging anyone she thought was cute. This is exactly what she did and as fate would have it, Christine was the first cutie to write back! And really the only one who mattered.

Chris and Alishia then began talking and shortly after exchanged pictures. The two talked online, and then on the phone once Alishia was brave enough to answer. After a few weeks their first date was planned and the two finally met in person. The night played off like a true fairy tale as they danced the night away. The girls spent lots of time together, however during this time Alishia played it safe and tried not to get too close too quickly. Over time Alishia finally let her guard down and allowed love to lead the way.

As time went on they officially became, Alishia and Christine. Soon after they decided to turn their love into a triangle, with the addition of a furry little bund le of joy, they called Peanut.
 

The Proposal
The proposal happened while away at Oxbow Lake, in a little cottage called Elm. On August 4th 2009, the two were enjoying a nice quiet evening by the fire. They played a question game using a little deck of cards. They each took turns asking a question. When it was Chris’ turn she looked at the card and read “Alishia Michelle Connor will you marry me?” Alishia was shocked and thought Chris was joking…And replied “Shut up! Are you serious!?” She knew it had to be for real when Chris pulled out a box with a beautiful ring tucked inside.

Of course Alishia said “YES!”
 
The two shall be wed August 19th 2011. And they plan to live happily ever after!

The Wedding
Our dream of the perfect day is quickly coming together! Our wedding colour palate will consist of black, white and damask, with splashes of aqua. We find this to be the perfect combination of modern, class and romance. We are hands on brides and want our creativity to show. We will do this by creating our own monogram, making the invites, place cards, table names, menus, centrepieces and more!

Our wedding attire will be slightly different, Alishia will be wearing a traditional white gown with a black accent. Christine however, would not be caught dead in a dress and so, she will be wearing dress pants and a vest. The uniqueness of our wedding party is something we are really excited about. We will have 5 brides maids and 1 brides man. Bet you’re not used to seeing that! Their wardrobe is to be determined.

Our ceremony will be short and very sweet just like us. We are totally breaking tradition and having our beautiful mothers walk us down the aisle. During the ceremony chairs will be reserved in honour of loved ones who have passed on. A special rose ceremony will conclude our nuptials, as a single rose will be the first gift we give to each other as partners in life… for life.

Our family and friends love to party and a party is what we’re giving them! Our menu is to die for. Our reception room will be beautifully decorated with black and white linens, candles and our aqua goblet centrepieces. With the help of our DJ and our fabulous venue, The Paramount a great time will be had by all! We promise!

We have visions of our photos being modern yet simple. Perhaps some cheeky photos of us sneaking into the ladies room for a smooch! We defiantly want to include our spunky fur baby, in some of our photo ops as well.
