Mother of the Bride Dress
***Update: Today, July 3, is a day for the history books. My mom found her dress!!!!!!! It's La Perle by Impression Bridal (style #6567), and she looks fabulous in it! It was such a great dress, a fantastic price, AND alterations are included free!!!!! Holy bargain, Batman!! Mom will wear it in aubergine (picture to follow).
I just knew that this was going to be the hardest part of the entire wedding planning - getting my mom to nail down one dress that she loves. She looks great in so many dresses & colors, so I knew it was going to be tough. Right now, this little number from Jovani (#155165) is the front-runner. We are going to try Lord & Taylor and Macy's on Thursday, July 2nd, to see if Mom finds something there, off-the-rack that she loves. If not, it's back to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place later this month to order the Jovani dress!! We will have spaghetti straps added though, since my mom has never, to this day, worn a strapless dress. Check her out:
She also tried on another Jovani dress, but it was just ok after trying on the purple gown. Don't even know the style number or anything. lol
