Hello all: I decided finally to join PW. I am been constantly on here reading the great ideas everyone has posted. My FI and I are getting married November 7, 2009 and I cannot wait. I am a 27 public affairs specialist and my future hubby, 28, works in agriculture. We had been dating almost 4 1/2 years when we got engaged on April 10 and ever since then I have been in wedding planning mode. But now I think I am getting overloaded...way to many great ideas out there!
I have had a really hard time coming up colors for the wedding. I knew I wanted to main color to be purple, the color of BM dresses, but I found these flower inspiration which has helped me decide on my color palette.
Well my FI and I met at a fishing tournament. From there we just hit it off. At first we did the long distance relationship, he is orginally from Georgia, and then he finally moved to FL. I knew instantly after we met that he would be the ONE! We have been together since August 2004 and moved in together last October. In April, he finally popped the question and even though I always thought it wouldn't be a surprise when we got engaged (just because of we had talked about for such a long time), I was totally in shock!
Well tonight I finished our Save the Dates. I decided to go with a vintage postcard look and I think it turned out pretty good. I am happy with it. :) First DIY project - done!!
So it has been so difficult trying to come up with a "theme" for our wedding and colors. But I think I have finally decided. It has changed some from the birght pinks and reds to more soft colors like steel gray an plum. Here is my new inspiration.
Finally found some shoes for the wedding. I wanted plum color shoes and one day while at target there they were staring me down....and they were only $23.00!!!
It has been almost three weeks since James and I tied the knot and married life is great! Our wedding was fantastic and can honestly say that I would not change a thing. Our photographer was so good. He even blogged about us on his Web site, www.thesublimewedding.com! Here are a few pics from the day. I can't wait to get them all.
