My gift from God

They say to be careful about what you ask God for because you just might get it.  I asked and God gave me what I asked for and so much more.  God gave me James!  Perhaps we were saying the same prayer and he gave us each other.  No matter how we got here, I thank God for this man each and everyday.  James is an amazing human being and I am so incredibly blessed that he has chosen me to be his life partner.  He is loving, patient, and kind. 

Our story is not the typical "love at first sight" setup, but more like he liked me and I was like he's ok.  We hung out as friends for a while and then he decided to take a job overseas.  We talked over the course of time, but it was not until he got hurt at work that I realized just how much he meant to me.  Realizing that I could have lost him terrified me.  I needed to stop being stupid and give this man a chance.  From that day on, I have not regreted my decision.

He proposed August 10,2008 and I gladly accepted.
