[Let's Drink and Eat Cake!]

We found our serving set and our toasting flutes. I got the inspiration for the toasting flutes from St8rgazer; they are from Anthropologie - only $12 each and so beautiful! They are from the Horta collection. The cake serving set is only $15 from Cost Plus World Market. It is the Luna Dessert Serving Set. I am not sure if we will get it engraved yet, but we have time to think about it. We may just get a "B" on it and the date. 

This will be our cake topper. Since our date is so close to Halloween, I had really wanted to incorporate something relating to it but we decided that these were so cute and unique that we just couldn't pass them up! My mom has offered to purchase it for us. We will be getting it from Etsy seller nakedpeggies.

UPDATE: 08/08/09

We went to our tasting yesterday and determined our tier flavors - which is the part I was most excited about!

Tier 1: Chocolate/chocolate mousse

Tier 2: Marble/strawberry mouse

Tier 3: Lemon/raspberry puree and vanilla mousse

Tier 4: Red velvet/cream cheese frosting

The design we will be having is the top left. Ours will be ivory and the thin lines in black. We will also not be having any flowers on the cake.

For the food portion, we will have the following:

1. Spring Salad with raspberry vinagrette

2. Pasta salad (not a traditional kind)

3. Chicken Cordon Bleu

4. Roast Beef

5. Garlic Mashed Potatoes

6. Fresh seasonal steamed vegetables
