Michael is from the Swabia region of Germany, and I'm originally from Taiwan but grew up in California. We just moved back to California after two years in Connecticut.

We met in grad school in October 2004, and it didn't take very long for us to realize that we wanted to be together for the long run! He proposed in May 2005, just after our final exams and before graduation. There was never a question of what my answer would be.

We had a small, intimate wedding in Palo Alto. It was the best day of my life, so far (I have to allow for better days in the future, too)! We entered the ceremony courtyard to "Better Together" by Jack Johnson, and exited after the kiss to another of his songs, "Upside Down." The celebration afterward was a lot of fun... A day we'll always remember!
