About Us

My fiance and I have been together for 6 years, and now we're getting married :)  We live together, we both have children from previous relationships (I have 2, he has 1) and together we have a one year old, so it's a full house!  We're all really excited and can't wait for the day to arrive!

About our Big Day!

I'm a DIY kind of bride.  Click Here to see my DIY website for a full list of all the things I am DIY'ing, but basically everything paper, centerpieces, Aisle decor, ring bearer dishes, my brooch bouquet, my BM's bouquets, guy's boutonnieres, favors, photo booth, and I'll be adding more the list as I go along, just because I LOVE doing this stuff! but here are a few things I have completed so far:

Our Ring Dishes (made by me):

Our Centerpieces (bought in bulk online):

Wine Charms (made by me):

My Dress!!!!!

We're getting married on August 25, 2012.  Our bridal party consists only of our best man and matron of honor, and our children (15 year old daughter will be a bridesmaid, our two 8 year old boys the ring bearers, and our flower girl will be our youngest, who will be 1 1/2 by then).  We're having what we consider the perfect size wedding for us, with 125 guests.

I'm going for a soft, vintage, romantic look.  Our centerpieces will be candle lanterns.  The same lanterns will line the aisle for the ceremony.  My MOH and my daughter will wear flowy sage green dresses and have baby's breaths bouquets.  The dress I picked for myself is the Allure Bridals Style 8800.  It's a beautiful ivory satin sheath with a lace overlay. I'm making a brooch bouquet for myself, and that's been one of my favorite projects.  I've found most of my brooches at different flea markets and estate sales.  My friends and family have also given me a few brooches.  I will have 2 "borrowed" which belong to my fiance's mom, and his grandmother. His grandmother passed away and he was really close to her, so I'm excited to show it to him on the day of our wedding (he doesn't know).  Other than those 2, I am keeping my bouquet intact after the wedding.

Ahhhh, I could go on forever about our wedding plans, but I'll leave it at this for now.  Thanks for reading!!
