After 7 years of dating and a year engagement, my husband Billy and I were married on July 21st 2007 at the Pasadena Museum of History. That day was the best day of my life and everything was perfect. I was definately a bride on a budget (seriously) and a DIY bride so if you need any suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

I met Billy while I was housesitting with one of our mutual friends. We didn't even speak to each other the first night we met because we are both pretty quiet but the next night he came by again and I was smitten. We went on our first date to the Orange County Fair and dated ever since. I was 17 when we met and had plans to go away to college. The first year I went away to school and we saw each other only on some weekends. Finally the next year he transferred to the same University so we could be together. We both moved home after graduation and made a pact that we would both get steady jobs before we decided to get married.

One night before Billy was about to leave for a week fishing trip, he took me to dinner. After, we grabbed some coffee and went down to our favorite spot overlooking the bay. When we got there, there was a red rose waiting for me on the bench overlooking the water. It was very dark and he had me close my eyes. When I opened them, Billy was down on one knee and the box with the ring in it had a light inside that was shining down on the ring. All I could see in the dark was my amazing ring! It was a great night!

Since we got married, we have since moved into a little house in Belmont Shore. We love it and couldn't be happier!
