Hi! My name is Court and my husbands name is Case we got married on May 23, 2009! He is a pharmacist and I am an environmental chemist. We are the biggest dorks ever and we are totally made for each other!
We are got married in historical Rugby Tennessee. Google it, its amazingly beautiful. Here are some pictures of our ceremony, I love that little church.
Here are our guestbook pages from guestbookstore.com. Each place setting was completed by one of these.
Invites:
The ink is an emerald pearl color, the envelopes are lined in pink, and we have pink seals! The quality of these invitations are exceptional, and they were a steal!
Save the dates:
FI designed them all by himself on 123print.com. 100 for 40 bucks, shipping and all! I couldn't have made them cheaper, and they were great quality.
Not a matching set, but the engraving is PERFECT!!
I chose this style because Princess is so over done and I feel like this look is so classic. I love antique heirloom rings from the 20's, so that's why I chose this cut, it is featured in many of those rings. The hand engraved details of the setting give the ring a vintage look as well. I love this ring. I told Casey all I wanted was something dainty, vintage and it HAD to be an Asscher. Which proved to be difficult because many jewelers didn't have any on hand because they aren't the plentiful, yay I'm unique! I also encountered a "jeweler" or two not even knowing what an Asscher was! I had looked at some Tacori and Verragio designs and fell in love with them because of their detail, but when I got to the store and tried them on they were all too bulky for my hand. I got discouraged and started looking online for more inspiration, little did I know Casey already had the perfect ring on the way. He found the setting, but not the diamond. He lied to me and told me they couldn't get any Asschers in for months. I was crushed I didn't care I still wanted an Asscher. Actually the day he told me that the jeweler had just received MY diamond, they set it and he walked out the door with it THAT day!
I really couldn't be more pleased. The diamond is absolutely colorless and has great fire. I talk about it all the time, but I just can't get over how Casey found this ring. It is PERFECT!
I bought some sugar ranunculus from wholesalesugarflowers.com, and I hand painted them myself. I am pretty pleased with the result. We chose lemon cake with raspberry filling, because it reminded us of our favorite favorite drink, raspberry lemonade! I have been to several weddings where the cake was pretty, but not appetizing at all. Hubby and I are foodies so we really wanted to have a yummy wedding cake, and I think we accomplished that, there wasn't a piece left!
Here are pics from the reception. Our reception was all about the details! Did I mention that one of the table cloths caught on fire? Or that some non RSVPers sat at the head table? Or that they ran out of food, but because my caterer was so rockin they cooked more and no one even noticed. It was an experience to say the least.
Birdseed was held in prescription vials customized with a prescription for the guests. Monogrammed cookies met the guests as they entered the reception. Little pink baskets held rock candy suckers, pens, crayons, bubbles and sparklers!
My favorite DIY thus far. FI made this amazing A from wire and two broken cheap necklaces. Yeah, so the color is a little off here, more lime and grass less olive and pea.
A garland that I wired extra flowers into, I will probably wrap these around each of the tent poles.
DIY EXTRAVAGANZA!
FI is gone :( back to school :( six hours away. He was my constant companion since, well, October? Now I'm all alone during this crucial time, but that's ok! I've got it under control! Just look
what I did last night. . .
Please don't pay attention to the white paint covered nails pictured above.
Thunderstorms were in the forecast ALL DAY LONG on Saturday, so we rescheduled for Sunday. It didn't rain a drop on Saturday and it was GORGEOUS! Too late, already rescheduled. So, on Sunday it was dreary and overcast and COLD. I had to run to OldNavy and do some last minute shopping right before we met for the pics because I couldn't wear any of the outfits that I had picked out. The arboretum was still gorgeous and I think that the pics turned out ok. There was a grove of cherry trees filled with pink blossoms, I couldn't have asked for a better back drop for our pictures.
These are a few of the pictures that she posted for us as a sneek-peek on her blog. She should get the rest up within a couple weeks.
I am 5'5'' and as curvy as they come. I've always been self conscious of my curves, but I'm putting all that aside and getting some surprise bpics made for my fi's birthday/wedding/graduation present.
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5657940 She is making my corset. Check out her shop. She is amazing. I told her I needed it quickly and she has definitely worked very hard to get it to me on time. This woman is amazing!
Ok, these were so much fun. I was really nervous at first and had no idea what to expect, but my photog was amazing, as always. She gave me great direction and had some cute ideas. I am having them put into an album and I am going to give it to him just before he sees me on the big day. She said that she should have the book ready for me to preview in a week or so. A big thank you to LB, my MOH for going with me! She was a big help and gave me support, and helped me lace up my corset. Shannon had me roll around on the floor and I felt like a mix between John McCain and a turtle on its back. I couldn't move in that thing. It was pretty humorous.
Here is the hub's reaction when he got the book:
It wasn't just a bridal shower because I invited boys too. FI worked so hard on our registries I HAD to let him take part! We were given a spectacular shower by my MOH and her mother. I cannot describe how much food we had, if anyone left hungry it was their own fault! We had an amazing time and got way too many gifts.
We played some really fun games, yes I said fun, we did a newly wed game that was a real hit. I wish that one would have lasted about twice as long because I loved it!
We also DYIed some guest book pages, just like we are going to use for our wedding reception. When we got home we sat down together and read them, that was my favorite part of the night. The page included a section that could be used to draw a picture of us, that was rather interesting. We also included a section for their favorite memory of us, I loved that because I had forgotten so many of the things that people wrote. I can't wait for everyone to fill out the ones at our reception!
MOH placed disposable cameras at each table, I can't wait to get those pictures back, because many of them were taken by tiny little hands, as you will see below.
I love my honey!
YUM-O!
The FI and Me with the Hostesses with the Mostest
MOH! (she means biznass)
My Favorite Cousin (sister) and Favorite Aunt (mom)
FI with one of our flowergirls (she took at least 100 pictures)
Some of our guests (I'll call these VIPs because this is FI's boss)
You can also see our lovely table decorations in this pic as well.
Ok, so everyone needs to have these for their shower or wedding reception. They were so much fun! I loved coming home after the shower and reading them, so many memories!
Some of the best words of wisdom, advice for our big day and drawings we recieved:
Me Me ME!
I'm usually one of those people that you don't notice, I'm in the corner keeping to myself. On my wedding day, I wanted to stand out, and that's why I'm posting this entry. Because its all about ME!
We bought the house about a month before the wedding, its brand spankin new and it has been a blast making it our home!

Here is the lake that is part of our sub-division (there are only five houses)

The kitchen, one of my favorite parts

Bedroom, still decorating a bit.

My bathtub, its not a claw-foot, but I'll take it!

My little niece Maleia's room, hence the huge "M".

Just started on this section. I'll try my best to update it this weekend.
