I am a bride on a budget and a short time line (by choice). We are having a private ceremony and then we are having a reception this spring. I am excited and so happy to be marrying my best friend. Also, I LOVE planning, anything. Planning this wedding has been a dream so far!
So, I am going with an old-hollywood-esque look and I have purchased a peal-adorned, birdcage veil. I cannot decide if I want a half up look or a completely up do. I have found three pictures of looks that I love! I have never had my hair professionally done before and I am going to take complete advantage of this opportunity. I want to be perfectly beautiful on my wedding day.
I love them! I think that the feather and the diamond really melds well with my old Key West/Cuban/old Hollywood/anything goes idea in my head. :)
We made a decision on a cake. We aggreed that we want cupcakes, but I wanted a cake too. We agreed on this:
I saw the best, cheapest idea, for the cup cake stand- painted flower pots flipped upside down with a plate on top. It will be free, go with the theme and will look cute! :)
Shells and pearls and palm trees!!
We created our save-the-date today. We had a blast! Can you guess what the inspiration was...? :-)
I triple dog dared him!
My fantastic best friend has planned a bachelorette party that is totally me- a winery tour down the coast of Rhode Island. A scenic drive with all my girls, lots of wine, and a new set of wine glasses (one for each winery). I'll remember this forever. :)
Staying at the Newport Beach Hotel & Suites.
SO EXCITED!!
I am giving the girls wine totes filled with goodies as a thank you/favor for the party.
This is the design I created for the tote bags. $44.00 for 10 on www.vistaprint.com
After many meetings with the seamstress, a lot of internet research, and finally going with my gut and dictating what I wanted to look like when I put on my dress, I got the final product. I jetted off to Florida two days later and tied the knot- the dress was just too inspiring! :-p
The reception is still being prepared for- May 29, 2010. It's like two weddings in one! :-)
