Our story

How it all started

Ok this story is going to sound SOOO high school anyway... My very good friend was browsing myspace for guys to date and she found this one guy who she had a lot in common with. I thought she was crazy because we lived in Kansas City and this dude lived in Reno. Nevertheless, she liked him and wanted to talk to him on the phone. She dialed his number then threw the phone at me! He answered, told him I was a friend of the girl he was talking to on myspace and we started chatting it up a bit. After a while my friend got comfortable with talking to him and didnt need me as her crutch anymore. Well I guess i made an impression on him because he would instant message me and talk to me almsot everynight. It was obvious he liked me and after a while i started to like him too. I broke the news to my friend, she was upset, but told me that it was ok since it never would have gone anywhere because he lived on the other side of the country. So 2 months after Ryan and I started talking we decided he needed to make a trip to Kansas. He flew up to see me and it was instant chemistry. We spend a long weekend together and we both knew we were meant for each other. I flew to Reno the next month and spend thanksgiving with him. I loved Reno and we decided if this relationship was going to go anywhere that one of us had to move. I was in a position to move so thats what i did. 7 Months after we first met I moved to Reno and in with him. We have been living together for 2 wonderful years now. Life has been great and im so happy to be with the greatest guy in the world!

The Proposal

We have been talking about getting married for a few months and he was clueless about it. I showed him the kind of ring I liked and told him it was all up to him.

It was valentines day weekend and I was anticipating him asking me. Friday he tells me he has a present for me but it wont get here until Monday so ill have to wait. I figured it wasnt a ring because why would he tell me that? Anyway, Monday rolls around and I ask him where this alleged gift was. He said was there was a shipping delay and that it will be here tuesday. So I forget about it. A few hours later he comes in our room while im on the computer, says " Ok i lied, i have your present right here" and pulls out a ring box and hands it to me. I open it and see the most beautfiul ring EVER and he asked me to marry him. I told him " of course!"
