Welcome…

We are so excited to be at this point in our lives and even more excited to be able to share it with our family, friends and guests.  This has really been a blast for us and we are truly very grateful to have this opportunity to enrich each other's lives.  It's been said that when you meet that special person you'll know...well we both knew the first time we met each other because the universe aligned for us on that day.  As we count down to our wedding day, thank you so much to all who have and continue to share in our lives and our joy.  We love and appreciate you.  So, "journey with us on our road to the alter"...thank you for visiting and Be Blessed!

 A Little About Us…

I'm an island girl and a transplant to the Maryland area by way of Brooklyn, NY…a long way to travel to find my FH!  I am also the only child for my Mother…..Go Yankees!

He is the  quintessential gentleman and a native of the DC Metro area and also an only child.  He is a sports enthusiast and a die hard Redskins fan (mmm…I know)who also coaches

The Proposal…

I knew from the day I met FH that we would do life together...LOL!  It was just a matter of time to get to this point.  We talked about it on and off, we talked about the ideal proposal, the ideal wedding, etc.  I started looking at rings and trying on rings and that was an experience because the rings I thought I would like, that would just look fabulous on my finger just did not give me the look I wanted and it doesn’t help that my ring finger is a size 5.  I narrowed it down to three so he would have an idea.  One evening after work we went out and he purchased the ring.  Of course it took about two weeks to come in so I had to wait and try to figure out when I’d get it.

My Impatience…

Ok ladies, this is where my impatience got the best of me...after we got the ring back I was allowed to put it on that evening after he picked it up but could not wear it after that.  Now, you can imagine my excitement with this ring but my disappointment for not being able to wear it.  I could not wear it until after he had officially proposed to me and I had no idea when that was going to be.  Anyway, one morning I wanted to wear it so bad that I had to call him and beg if I could wear it after promising that would be the only time…mmm.  He said yes and off I went.  He kept that ring on the night stand on my side of the bed with the lid of the ring box lifted…ok…who does that…why tempt me that way...LOL!  On the morning of my birthday, two months later, he got down on one knee, took my hand and proposed…can you say cloud nine!  I have not taken that ring off since.
