Me and the love of my life....
We met in October 2003 at our friend's daughter Nailea's, 2nd b-day, we will be married on her 8th b-day and she will be one of our flower girls. I was born in Mexico and FI was born in Nicaragua, and although we both come from Latin cultures we both had many different tastes and customs, he likes rice, I like beans, he likes fried riped bananas, I like tortillas, he likes salsa dancing, I like banda dancing, he likes rum, I like tequila, he says vos(nicaraguan word for you), I say tu (mexican word for you). With all are different tastes and customs we have both learned to love everything about each other that is why we are together and will become one on 10/09/09!
The ceremony will take place at St. Martin's Church, my parents were married in the same church 38 years ago!
Our reception will be at the Historic Del Monte located in downtown Sunnyvale.
This is our cake inspiration (please let m know if this is your pic so I can cite), the top tier will have less roses to make room for our 3 letter monogram designed by topperswithglitz.com.
After searching and searching I fell in love with a dress I had not even considered prior but fate just happened to have it hanging on the rack as the VERY expensive dresses I had originally thought I loved were being picked for me to try on. I asked for this Mori Lee dress to be pulled just to see how it would look on me and to my surprise it was thee ONE and about $1000 cheaper than my original choices:)
I have always dreamed of having a mantilla veil for my wedding and although my dress does not have any lace on it I think my veil will just be what I always wanted and will compliment my dress! I present to you my Paloma Blanca veil:
My veil the day of our wedding:)
FSIL and her husband are throwing us a shower and this is the invite can't wait for the party!
We will be having short and tall centerpieces a bit smaller than the inspiration to keep the cost down:)
Update: This was our tall rose centerpiece....amazing!
FI and I love music so much and our wedding day will be full of all the music we like:
Church Ceremony: Mariachi Azteca
Cocktail and Dinner: Trio Sol De Mexico
Reception Dancing Music: 1 hour of Banda La Conquistadora and 1 1/2 DJ Nica (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbias, Reggaeton, Hip-hop, Old School).
To close the night Mariachi Azteca will arrive at 11pm and play until midnight:)
