Cory and I have known each other since we were in middle school. During field day our 8th grade year I stole his hat and asked him to be my boyfriend. He said NO! In high school we became really good friends. We hung out all the time but I always had a boyfriend some nothing ever happened. He always joked around with my mom and said that if I would just kiss him once I would know that we were supposed to be together. We didnt get the chance until Christmas break our freshman year of college. We kissed but I was scared, I didnt want to lose my bestfriend so I would pick fights with him. After what seemed like forever of trying to be together and it not working out, the summer of our Freshman year rolled around. He came home about 2 weeks later than everyone else because he plays baseball and they had games after the school year ended. Anyway, he was going to be leaving again to go to play in NY for the summer in 2 weeks. We hung out everday before he left. We wanted to try dating but I didnt know how it would work since he was going to be so far away all summer long. After he left I was really upset, I felt like I had missed out on something amazing. I was listening to the season opener game on the computer when they said that Cory had thrown a wild pitch and that he was down on the ground holding his arm. The next day Cory was on his way back to SC and we have been together every since. 

PUTTING A FACE TO THE NAME

THE RING

So I knew he was going to ask me soon...I just didnt know when. He knew that I was kind of thinking it would be my Christmas present because my grandparents got engaged on Christmas. On Christmas Eve we exchanged our gifts and....NOTHING. Christmas came and we hung out and had dinner with my family and NOTHING. He left my house at about 10 PM and I thought that it was over and that it would come another day. So I went to bed. I fell asleep and Cory called me at 11:30 PM and was like "Hillary I need you to go to your moms car and see if my wallet is in there." I was like "babe I'll just check in the morning but i swear it was sitting on the table earlier." He goes "No i think it fell out of my pocket in the car...please go check and call me back." So I went and checked and saw NOTHING. I came back inside and called him and told him it wasnt in there and that I was going back to bed. He begged me to go look again so I did. So i got on my hands and knees and couldnt find it. He then told me look on the ground outside of the car to see if it was under the door..NOTHING. So then I could tell he was getting nervous and I was getting mad. So he goes WAIT are you on the drivers side of the car and I was like ummmm..no. He goes OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO look on the drivers side. So by that time I realized something was up and was like Cory where are you. I walked about the car and I saw my ring hanging from the car door with a note that said "will you marry me check yes or no" (like the song) i started crying and he pulled up in his car. He jumped out and hugged me and said there are 30 mins left of Christmas..will you marry me?

We are getting married October 23 2010. The theme is Vintage and Autumn. With deep autumn colors and natural elements.

I really love the idea of a DIY Photobooth. I figured it would be a great way for our guest to entertain themselves before the wedding party gets to the reception from taking pictures.

My aunts through us an amazing engagement party in August:

We will be getting most of our Bridal Party pictures done before the wedding so it won't take us long to finish up the rest of the formal shots. FI and I will then stop by this amazing location on the way to the reception to take one-on-one pictures of just us.

 FI was born in Panama and I was born in Charleston SC. I thought it would be cute to get custom cufflinks made for the wedding day with his birth place and my birth place. The cufflinks came from etsy and they are made of vintage maps. I dont have a picture of mine but this is the one from her etsy shop. They are amazing!
