Hi, I'm Holly! My husband David and I live in Santa Rosa, CA, with our cat Jasmine.  I do a variety of jobs - I'm a spinning teacher, a swing dance teacher, an office assistant, and a wedding coordinator. I'm also in school to become a dietitian. It's the wedding planning that attracted me to this site.

We enjoy outdoorsy activities - hiking, biking, blackberry picking. I am also a runner and a triathlete and spend a lot of my time training for events. I am also interested in sports nutrition and plan to work in that field once I graduate. I also have plans for offering brides a special wedding weight loss program.

David and I had a couple of classes together my first semester at UC Davis. we were both transfer students from different junior colleges, and it became apparant to me after observing him in class that he'd been much better prepared than I for "real college." I ended up asking him to help me study.

The second semester at UC Davis, we became lab partners for one of our classes. I was casually seeing somone else long distance, so I hadn't even taken notice of David as a potential dating prospect. We had a fun time that semester and became fast friends.

Flash forward to that summer, when I returned home from seeing the other person, started hanging out with David every day, and finally broke it off with the other guy.

On July 17, 2002, after hanging out and watching a movie, I cuddled him and finally we kissed. The rest is history.

David had me convinced that he wasn't ready to propose by our third anniversary. In fact, I didn't think he even had a ring!

We spent the anniversary the same way we had the previous two - on "our" beach in Bodega Bay, CA.

Just as the sun slipped behind the clouds, creating the perfect sunset, David dropped on one knee and produced a ring out of nowhere! He said very few words - "Holly, will you marry me?" I said yes, pulled him up and hugged him. I'd waited for that moment for so long!

We'd always known we wanted to get married on "our" beach, as close to our anniversary as possible. We picked Sunday, July 16th - the day before our 4th anniversary.

We wanted simple and semi-casual, and I'd always envisioned my groom in a white hawaiian shirt. The idea just blossomed from there - we ended up picking out things that created a tropical feel from head to toe!

Our groomsmen wore blue hawaiian shirts. The bridesmaids wore sarong skirts made from the same fabric as the shirts. I wore a mother of pearl necklace and a pooka shell anklet. We used tiki torches and flower leis to form our aisle and had hawiian cake toppers. Our officiant (a friend) wore a green hawaiian dress and my brothers escorted me down the aisle in black & white hawaiian shirts. My mom even got into it and wore a hawaiian outfit!

We stuck with mostly shades of blue but there were also other colors mixed in, such as yellow and orange. It looked great.

We spent a week in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico, at the Golden Crowm all inclusive resort (18 and over)! It was WONDERFUL! We would highly reccommend it. The food was great, the beaches were lovely, and we had a truly relaxing time.
