The wedding day turned out perfect. That morning I was kind of worried. My doc didn't help much because she called me at 9am to tell me the wind was uncontrollable out there. When we got there it was too windy to set up. We had planned on setting up at 10am but didn't get to until noon. When I left to get hair and makeup done, there was still so much to do. The wind picked up again at three very badly. DOC called me once again to ruin my hope lol. At 4:55 the wind just stopped. DOC called and said its time and it was all perfect from that point on.

Walking down the aisle my dad was more nervous than I was. He kept saying he felt like he was going to have a heart attack. We talked to each other the whole way down the aisle, it really helped calm our nerves. When I hit the aisle runner and the guitar solo started playing, the tears came. It was so perfect, this is when I realized everyone was there for me. My dad said "All these people are here for you baby girl." and he started crying too.

CHANGED MY MIND ON SOMETHING ELSE!
So I decided I didn't want to handwrite 200 place cards so I am doing this instead!
Here's mine in progress
DIY photo 9

Save the dates

My sister took this picture of us with our flower girl/dog. We then uploaded them on a walmart style greeting card and printed them out to be picked up the next day. 22 dollars for 100 of them!

Table Numbers

For a long time I was looking for a cute idea for my table numbers. I really wanted to include pictures in them but I didn't want to use our engagement pics because thats what our card box will be made of. I came across these and LOVE them.

Ours will be numbers Table number 1 will have pics of each of us when we were a year old and so on and so forth. Then I was browsing some pages and saw wine corks to hold up the table numbers. I loved this idea. So thats what I have been working on. Cutting on the boards and doing the corks. The corks are pretty tideous, you have to cut them exactly the same and glue them on just right or it'll fall over with the slightest breeze.

We got engaged august 2007 at that time we decided on this park as our venue. Well when this summer came and we actually started planning we looked at every place but this one. We were about to reserve another venue when we drove by this park again. We decided we loved it more than anything else we had seen. Well guess what! The day I went to the city to reserve it they told me the park permit, alcohol permit, and sound permit were all free! So that took a huge chunk out of our budget. Its just going to take a little special creativity to make it exactly how I want it.

Processional
The bridal party and I will be walking down the aisle to "warmness on the soul" by avenged sevenfold.

The bridal party will walk in to the slow part and when it hits the guitar solo thats when I will walk down the aisle. It was Jeffs idea and I cant picture anything more awesome and perfect that walking to a guitar solo!!

Here is a you tube link if you want to listen to it

Our First Dance

"Close to the Flame" HIM

This has always been "our" song. I still cry everytime I hear it. So it was only right for it to be our first dance. Not one of the DJs we spoke to have the song in their library though so thank goodness we had it on cd for them to use.

The amazing people that will help our perfect day come together!

Photography(free)- Sara Tredenick (no company name)
Sara is an amazing photographer. She is just beginning but you couldn't even tell! She did our engagement pictures and we had such a great time! She made us feel comfortable and captured our personalites perfectly. I would definately recommend her!

Cake (2 dollars per serving)- Jessica at Fun time Cakes
Jessica was the first vendor we booked. She is awesome and has a great personality! She has been very helpful and patient with us as we change cake design ideas. We can not wait to taste more of delicious cake at the wedding! We definately recommend her and you can see her website at funtimecakes.com

DJ (400 dollars for unlimited time and service)- Dale with Rock and Country mobile DJ's
Dale actually found us! He emailed after seeing my desperate posts on craigslist to find a DJ. We had met with several DJ's and none of them seemed right. Dale's prices and services are just perfect for us! Our wedding is outside in a place with no set electricity so we needed a DJ that was comfortable running of a generator. Dale will provide his own generator! One less thing for us to worry about. We definately recommend him and you can contact him at (970)568-0474

Officiant-  We are still looking for an officiant if you have any recommendations in Colorado please let me know!

This is a classic Model A ford. From the year 1914. My dad is building it from the ground up. It is looking great and he thinks it will be ready before the wedding. He will also drive us to our wedding night suite after the reception.

After a long talk with parents and bridal party we have decided against any kind of fancy transportation for them. They all agree it will be better just to drive normal cars, considering they will be there afterwards cleaning up :( poor guys... but I love them for all their help

Ceremony photo 1Ceremony
photo 2

(We are about to begin the ceremony.  Please turn off all cell phones and pagers until the conclusion of the ceremony. Thank you.) The Officiant, groom and his men are waiting as the bridal party comes to join them.

PROCESSIONAL SONG: Warmness on the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold

Officiant then asks the one escorting the bride: Who gives this woman Leslie in marriage to Jeff?

OFFICIANT: With the horizon our only walls, the sky our only ceiling, and the earth our floor we meet here in nature to affirm your love for each other.

WELCOME

Good evening, and welcome to the ceremony that will unite Jeff and Leslie in marriage.
We gather here today to celebrate their union, and to honor their commitment to not just gazing at one another, but to looking outward together in the same direction. Today Jeff and Leslie proclaim their love to the world, and we rejoice with and for them.

In marriage, we give ourselves freely and generously into the hands of the one, we love, and in doing so, each of us receives the love and trust of the other as our most precious gift. But even as that gift is shared by two people who are in love, it also touches the friends and family members who in various ways support and contribute to the relationship. All of you are Jeff and Leslie’s community, and each of you has played some part in bringing them to this moment. This is why gathering, as a community is such an important part of a wedding ceremony. Because Jeff and Leslie are now taking a new form as a married couple, and in this form, they become part of their community in a new way.

Jeff and Leslie, we are here to remember and rejoice with you and to recount with one another that it is love that guides us on our path, and to celebrate as you begin this journey together it is in this spirit that you have come here to today to exchange these vows.

VOWS

Jeff’s vows to Leslie

Leslie’s vows to Jeff

RINGS

For thousands of years lovers have exchanged rings as a token of their vows. These simple gold bands are not of great value in themselves, but are made precious by our wearing of them.

Your rings say that even in your uniqueness you have chosen to be bound together. Let these rings also be a sign that love has substance as well as soul, a present as well as a past, and that, despite its occasional sorrows, love is a circle of happiness, wonder, and delight.

Jeff, take Leslie’s ring and put it on her finger, and repeat after me:

Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal

Just as it is made of indestructible substance, my commitment to you will never fail

With this ring, I take you to be my trusted confidante and partner for life.

Leslie, take Jeff’s ring, put it on his finger, and repeat after me:

Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal

Just as it is made of indestructible substance, my commitment to you will never fail

With this ring, I take you to be my trusted confidante and partner for life.

READING: BLESSING OF THE HANDS; Stephanie Cary

SAND CEREMONY

Jeff and Leslie, today you join your separate lives together. The two separate bottles of sand symbolize your separate lives, separate families and separate sets of friends. They represent all that you are and all that you’ll ever be as an individual. They also represent your lives before today. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.

Now that you have heard Jeff and Leslie recite their marriage vows, do you, their family and friends, promise from this day forward, to encourage them and love them, and to help guide and support them in being steadfast in the promises they have made?”  If you agree, please say, “We do.”

PRONOUNCEMENT

Inasmuch as you have consented together in this ceremony to live in wedlock and have sealed your vows in the presence of this assembly and by the giving of these rings, it gives me great pleasure to pronounce that you are Husband and Wife. You may now seal your marriage with a kiss. Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Davis.

After much thought and suffering we have decided to scrap our old invites and get new ones. The postcard style just didn't make the statement we wanted for our wedding. We want people to open their invitations and go "wow that is gorgeous, I can't wait to go!"

So Here are the two invites side by side. The smaller postcard are the old ones and the new ones are the larger more formal looking invite sample. Now i will also get the joy of stalking the mailbox for rsvp cards!!
